First, we spotted the handsome gentleman above at Gare de Lyon TGV station, diligently working the automated ticketing machine. We've noticed that men in France wear heavy winter scarves even in warm weather. We're not quite sure what that's about, but we're enjoying it!
One of the things we enjoy about our trip is that our guides go out of the way to get the freshest of French cuisine for us. Here is one of our guides with the famous delicacy, escargot! We adore escargot!
Aren't they delicious!
One of the quaint villages which we biked past.
We not only drank the wine, we harvested the grapes! Our HOTT Crew received special permission to visit the grape harvesters in the vineyards and even got to pick the grapes (Carignane) in the Seguret region of Provence.
Biking through the Gigondas has its privileges... tastings! Note the bike gloves :-)
Our guides suggested we stop for a sample at the new Vacquerays supermarket sized wine store. A handsome selection was on hand for us!
Our dinner after a long ride around the Dentelles.
Biking and wine. A perfect combination!
Stay tuned for tomorrow's theme.... Il pleut comme vache qui pisse!
