New Years Eve - Brilliance
The clock is ticking down and we bring you yet another hottie on the T! This gent knows how to mix the aviator sheepish look with electric blue fleece jacket and steel gray sneakers. What a wild duet!

New Years Eve Hottie - Bearylicious
Hotness personified is a hunky man reading a hardcover book. He's a Christmas present waiting to be unwrapped. A New Year's resolution waiting to be made. We think he'd be the ideal companion on a long holiday weekend in a cabin in the mountains. Hmmm... we've got a long holiday weekend coming up right now!

Our hottie wears a tasteful yet color charged quilted coat that's perfect for a jaunt to the office on an icy morn'. And his shoes are quite stylish and functional for today's weather!
And our HOTT Crew, being the underwear models that we are, thought we'd share this video of New Year underwear traditions around the world. Enjoy!

Double Tuesday - Duck, Duck, Boots!
It's snowing, sleeting and freezing raining and our fair city is alive with men in Duck Boots! Glorious boots impervious to snow and rain. Durable boots that last forever. Good looking boots on good looking men!

Calm Before the Storm
Just a minor accumulation of snow is forecast later today, but it's the first of the winter season and our hottie is showing how to dress for a potentially snowy commute home at the end of the day. A delightfully tailored coat with navy scarf and elegantly worn sling satchel create an air of ease and sophistication. He's our calm before the storm!

Boxing Day Extravangza
Our hottie today is adorable! So adorable we wish we had invited him to our 2nd Annual HOTT Crew Boxing Day Extravaganza! Utter deliciousness!
It's also an annual HOTT Crew tradition to design our friend Dodie's gala gown for Boxing Day. This year we minimized the amount of evergreen boughs composing the skirt and added luscious Christmas burgundy colors and ornaments so that Dodie could, well, not feel as prickly as in last year's all-evergreen design. She was stunning!
Meanwhile our HOTT Crew friend Lola generously supplied 15 bottles of Chateauneuf-du-Pape (Domaine du Vieux Lazaret 2012). What a treat! Not only was the wine spectacular, but Lola walked us through a professional tasting session so that we could discern the most intricate and minute flavors of this very traditional Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Lola is an Oenologist, among other things. A true Renaissance Woman. Apparently it's on sale at the liquor store at Fresh Pond next-door to Whole Foods. Nudge nudge wink wink.
And our HOTT Crew friends "the JimBobs" graciously decorated our entire HOTT Headquarters in a sea of flowers. Simply stunning, and the fragrance is extraordinary!
We hope you are enjoying this holiday as much as we are, and wish you all many fun and exciting days ahead!

Santa Must Think We've Been Good
Because he sent us this adorably handsome academic hottie! Button-up cardigan sweater in Navy Blue, with beautiful blue and white checked chambray shirt, and an Alpine Green wool 3/4 length duffle coat. And look at the leather sling satchel! A perfect example of a handsome man putting together an "effortless look" that, on closer inspection, reveals our gentleman's extraordinary taste and thoughtfulness in selecting each individual element of his attire. The cuffed jeans are a nice touch, too! Handsome man!

Soul of the Season
The pace has quickened as we get ever closer to Christmas. Our HOTT Crew is busy with lists, errands and shopping. Holiday parties beckon us. Dinner gatherings fill up more and more of our calendars. Will we stagger out of this Advent season more laden with bills and weariness than with joy and gladness?
It's always helpful to us at times like this when we get back to the basics. And our hottie today features a quintessential look at one form of the basics. A deliciously well-tailored pea coat (note the classic hourglass cut of the pea coat) provides both warmth and style. A simple pair of well worn jeans. An untucked Oxford shirt. Despite his lack of holiday attire he's perfectly prepared for any holiday event. Perhaps we can take a lesson from this fine gent and spend our time pulling out the basics and not busying ourselves with the unnecessary accoutrements we're told we need. And perhaps we'd not only be better off, we'd also look as stunning as today's gent!

Silver Bells
Our hottie's silver jacket launched the Christmas melody Silver Bells in our head as we gazed at his handsome features and cool, calm, and collectedness during this last frenzied weekend before Christmas.
And how did our HOTT Crew spend this last pre-Christmas weekend? A champagne tasting to determine which bubbly would grace our Holiday HOTT Crew table! Read down to see which bubbly won!
Above is Pol Roger, a quintessentially French champagne that's very dry, minerally, and loaded with citrus flavors of Grapefruit and Meyer Lemon. The bubbles were intense and omnipresent.
Next (above) is Blason Cremant de Bourgogne, a sparkling white burgundy made in France in the traditional method of making champagne. Lovely beads of bubbles in a lively dry style accompanied by flavors of strawberry and raspberry. This was amazingly delicious and quaffable!
Taittinger (above), dry and minerally like the Pol Roger, had wonderful flavors of apricot and peach that washed over the edge of our tongues after every sip!
Let's look at the pricing first before determining the winner:
Pol Roger - $42.95 (available at Trader Joe's and elsewhere)
Blason Cremant de Bourgogne - $9.99 (Available only at Trader Joe's)
Taittinger - $39.95 (available at Trader Joe's and elsewhere)
For a festive party with lots of people the Blason Cremant de Bourgogne is the hands down winner with lovely drinkable traditional champagne taste at a fraction of the normal price!
For a more intimate gathering we preferred the Taittinger with it's lovely, romantic flavors of stone fruit and crisp effervescence.
The Pol Roger was also an outstanding champagne, but the austereness requires just the right food pairing (we suggest smoked almonds).
We hope this brief tasting is helpful to you as you rush out to buy some bubbly for the holidays. And our HOTT Crew doesn't mind being totally wasted after drinking all this champagne. We do it all for you, after all!

Sci Fi Hottie
Our handsome man with flowing tresses is deep into his science fiction... Isaac Asimov. We always like our men to be well read, and our hottie certainly meets that criteria!
And our lateness in posting today's hottie is due to us running a multitude of errands to prepare for our HOTT Crew Boxing Day extravaganza. Formaggio Kitchen of Cambridge and the South End always has everything we need, and is a favorite of our HOTT Crew due to the staff's expertise in helping their clients select the perfect items for an extraordinary event!
And are you desperate for a last minute gift for someone special?
Our HOTT Crew loves ordering fresh Florida citrus for ourselves and very special friends from White's Red Hill Groves in Orlando, FL. An extra special treat are the Honeybell Tangelos that ship only in January... meaning you can place the order now, let your gift recipient know what you ordered, and it will come shortly after the holidays during the depths of winter. And you won't have to worry about ordering too late for a Christmas delivery!

Shake the Bottle
Shake and shake the ketchup bottle,
None comes out, and then a lot'l. - HOTT Crew friend Lola Matisse
Sometimes it's like that on the T. We ride and ride and just can't find a man worthy of being featured on our blog. And then BAM! Tons of handsome men! Like this charming gentleman above! The pin-striped classic Oxford shirt beckons us to relax due to it having just the right amount of wrinkles. It exudes softness. And the granite green fluffy fleece jacket makes one want to cuddle with someone and a couple of glasses of wine!
Speaking of wine, Duvine Cycling and Adventure Co. has a marvelous blog post on the best airport wine bars around the world. Many of you will be traveling over the holidays to visit family, and several glasses of fabulous wine might help prepare you for those special "family together times"!

Layers of Beauty
Men dressed in layers have an indescribable allure. The hang of a coat. The placement of a scarf. Separates are compliments when added with just the right touch. It's the art of dressing that makes this gentleman so captivating. And it reminds us of this maxim taught to us by our HOTT Crew friends Dodie and Lola:
Without the culinary arts, the crudeness of reality would be almost unbearable.
Which is why we bring you their timely holiday entertaining tip today! When inviting friends and family over for holiday festivities it's tempting to focus on the platters and serving boards. But what often gets overlooked is that the food comes alive when presented in layers of heights! Cake stands for cheese trays, crystal water goblets for bread sticks. Flowers and accessories of different heights. And Dodie and Lola taught us one more helpful tip:
Limit the height to 19 inches for cocktail and charcuterie tables and 14 inches for dinner tables. It works every time!

Fabulous Friday - Tall Drink of Gorgeous
Towering over the platform, our stunningly tall and handsome gentleman hottie shows refinement with a casual style. And the blonde locks cascading down create a singular sensation for our man, turning a tall-as-a-pencil stature into total hunkyness.
Speaking of pencils... we want to remind our Red Line drivers to stop jamming pencils into the control panel so that they can drive hands-free (we've seen you guys do this ;-) ). It's time to put safety first!

Driverless Trains
Whilst waiting for our driverless train to arrive we had the opportunity to get some good pictures of this handsome devil. Gloriously decked out in simple, yet fastidious office attire, our man shows he has patience and good taste. Alas, our driverless train only went from Braintree to North Quincy, leaving us stuck with tens of thousands of commuters with no trains to board. (For those not yet in the know, a train with passengers at Braintree left the station without a driver and made it past North Quincy before the MBTA pulled the plug on power to the tracks.)
Meanwhile, our HOTT Crew received a special invitation yesterday to see an advance screening of the film The Danish Girl.
It was an amazing film! The subtleties, richness and depth were incredibly well done. We highly recommend you see it as it's now playing at AMC Loews by Boston Common.

Fabulous Friday - Fabulous Sale!
Our hottie has an insouciant look about him, as if he's pondering which store is having the biggest and baddest holiday sale. And if it pours down rain he's ready to dash through deep puddles to get the best bargain! Speaking of sales...
The Osaka, Japan department store Gallerie decided their sale was so good the signs should be in English to emphasize just how great it was. And apparently they consulted with an expat American chef to find out how to convey precisely just how awesome a sale it was!
After about a week Gallerie executives were horrified to discover why there were so many English speakers taking pictures inside their store, and made the above adjustments. We think this gaffe ranks up there with the Tokyo department store that decided to decorate for the holidays in "American" style by nailing Santa Clauses to crosses and hanging them throughout the store!

Color of the Year
Sumptuously attired in a faux nautical theme, our hottie evokes images of aquatic adventures as our train hurtles high above the Charles River. What a handsome fellow!
And we have breaking news... the Colors of the Year 2016 have been announced!!!
Tying for first place is Rose Quartz (above), Pantone 13-1520. Rose quartz is not baby pink, but rather conveys warmth and tranquility and can be used for a variety of clothing pieces.
Also topping the list is Serenity, Pantone 15-3919, which is a natural pairing for Rose Quartz. Fashion designers are already noting that paisleys and plaids are stunning when paired with these 2 colors.
And how do these 2 colors look together on a man?
Just look at the Rose Quartz skin tones of our handsome devil above, and how well the they are accentuated by the Serenity blue tones in his beard and fur cap. Rugged. Handsome. Sexy!
We like Pantone's Colors for 2016!
