Boston Public Market - The Review
Our HOTT Crew decided to visit the Boston Public Market on opening day. It's located on Hanover street by Haymarket Station. We were especially delighted that we'd have the chance to try out Union Square Donuts' new Boston Public Market location. Here are our thoughts about the experience there, whom we think will enjoy it, and what we thought were the high points, mid-points, and low points of Boston's new food market.
We were impressed, after much navigating around, with the selection of locally sourced grass fed beef and other quality meats. The pricing was comparable to similar meats at the Whole Foods down the street. Our HOTT Crew likes grass fed beef and highly recommends it.
Overall, we think Boston Public Market is ideal for 30 year old women. We're not really sure gay men in the South End or Cambridge will find it worth their while to venture over to Haymarket to shop here.
The product we liked best was the wide selection of locally raised organic grass feed meat and poultry. That's a big plus
We liked the vegetable and fruit selections, but noticed that the vendors were not really up to speed about their own products. For example, as we grew up in Georgia and South Carolina we're very familiar with the many different varieties of peaches. And we're accustomed to growers being able to identify the variety of peach they offer on sale (i.e, Springcrest, Fairhaven, Georgia Belle, Rubyprince, etc). This is the first time we've had a peach grower tell us the variety of peach he's selling is "yellow". Our HOTT Crew thinks there's room for improvement in the produce department!
Our most disappointing experience was with Union Square Donuts. They began to run out of donuts after being open only 2 hours! Although this seems to be the norm at their quaint and quirky Somerville store front, our expectation is that their storefront in Boston Public Market would be kept in stock. We're not sure why they expected a grand opening day to be slow. We think they should start making donuts.
In general our HOTT Crew thinks you may find it interesting to stop by the Boston Public Market and experience it for yourself. We'd be interested to hear if you think it's better suited for tourists or for locals, as we're not quite sure for whom it's designed.

The thing we consistently noticed about the Boston Public Market was that it's a chick destination. Apparently, if you're a woman within 6 months (plus or minus) of being 30 years old the Boston Public Market is the place to be! Wall to wall women. Aged 30. Salivating over ice cream or beeswax candles. Outside the women were agog and constantly proclaiming the market to be "awesome!". Did we mention how many women were at the Boston Public Market? A LOT!
GB is fond of maple syrup and appreciated the gallon sized jugs (he goes through 3+ gallons a year of maple syrup).
A fair number of locally crafted beers, bottled and in growlers, were available. As were wines and spirits from New England. Beers seemed to be the main focus, although we didn't seem to find any that aren't already at our corner liquor stores in Cambridge. We did notice that Cape Ann Brewery beers, which aren't available in our neighborhood, are also not available at Boston Public Market.Overall, we think Boston Public Market is ideal for 30 year old women. As our HOTT Crew traveled to the Grand Opening of the Boston Public Market (opening today!) we encountered this tall, lean and very handsome gentleman. We wished he disembarked with us!

Shine Like the Sun
We encountered this smoking' hot hottie on our commute this morning as the temperature soared into the scorched zone. It's as hot as a day at the Los Angeles Olympics. And we know how hot that is as we actually worked with the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles!
Such a moving and beautiful visage on our handsome man. Reminds us of the moving and beautiful last verses of the Olympic Hymn:
Oh flame, eternal in your firmament so bright
Illuminate us with your everlasting light
That grace and beauty and magnificence
Shine like the sun
Blazing above
Bestow on us the wondrous prize of honor, truth and love!

Double Tuesday - Citius, Altius, Fortius
Don't forget to follow us on Twitter! @HottiesOnTheT
Faster, higher, stronger (Citius, Altius, Fortius) is the Olympic motto, and a hottie duo of Olympic quality greeted us yesterday on our commute home. The definition of hottie on the left's thighs make us think he may be a runner or a cyclist, while hottie on the right has the perfect build for a gymnast. And look how happy they are knowing they'll get to go see the 2024 Olympic Games in Los Angeles!
75% of Los Angelenos support hosting the 2024 Olympics in LA, so we can't help but get onboard, too! Besides, they already have most of the infrastructure (and much newer mass transit systems than us) for the games. We just hope #LA2024 doesn't use the motto Obmutui, et Silui Amplius like the #Boston2024 organizers did.
So join us in celebrating Los Angeles with this fun video below!

North Shore Cycling Day
Our HOTT Crew took the train up to Newburyport so we could bike to Gloucester, continue around all of Cape Ann, partake in some heavenly beer at the Cape Ann Brewery, and then continue on bike back to Boston. A long day, but we think sitting next to this hottie on the way up to Newburyport made it worthwhile!
We also met up with our HOTT Crew friend Lola Matisse (who is back in Gloucester) so she could show us the novel way she's shipping her high performance sports car to France this Fall. She's having Cape Pond Ice encase the entire car in ice and then loading it into a refrigerated fishing vessel (the Miss Trish II which has been out of commission due to the ban on cod fishing) and sailing it to Marseille!
Above is Lola's car on the dock at Cape Pond Ice in Gloucester as it's being assessed for proper icing!
We're glad Lola is back from Orlando, and we're sure our friend Dodie (in Orlando) is thrilled to get her garage back!

Definitely a unique way of showcasing the best of Provincetown and an insider's look at the many special events.
And let us know if you see yourself in the video!

Twenty Lashes
Give us twenty lashes! Give us our hottie's gorgeous eyelashes! Long, dark and dense, our man has the exquisite look of a model. He's perfection on a rush hour train! Since you can't quite see the lush eyebrows above we've zoomed in below so you can better appreciate them. Sharing is caring!
Mighty impressive! Also impressive is our HOTT Crew member FTH cycling in an exclusive program for amateur cyclists who get to ride a stage of the Tour de France behind the pro cyclists. I'm Ready for My Screen Test
Our hottie is straight out of Hollywood! Ready for today's round of screen tests, our handsome gent is quite fetching in his Newsboy Cap, polo shirt and Madras shorts. And the Sperry Topsider Buck Shoes with brass buckles Gucci Cocoa Suede Horsebit Detail Loafers (Suggested Retail Price $680!) adds a nice professional touch to his very astute Summer attire.
Speaking of screen tests, our HOTT Crew's friend Dodie sent us a clip of her winning screen test that landed her (and our friend Lola) a new lifestyle TV program on the French cable network Canal+ (not to be confused with the Spanish sister network Canal+1, which had Lola briefly doing intensive Spanish lessons).
It's nice to see Dodie's poise on display, as well as hearing her near perfect Parisian accent. La Cuisine de Dodie et Lola will, upon a successful first run in France, be carried on cable in Canada. Hence the bilingual French/English usage in the clip and on the show.

Sizzlin' Sunday - Yahoo!
Our hottie is as sizzlin' as the day is hot! It's a scorcher outside. Perfect for a Panama Hat. Our handsome man's pose is just right for waiting for the bus. Elegant yet casual. Unpretentious yet very composed. He's hot!
And we apologize for missing yesterday's post. FT was busy completing the last of his work required to earn his PhD (2 of our HOTT Crew will be PhDs!) and the rest of us were busy cycling in torrential downpours on the North Shore. We hope today's hottie makes up for it!

The Vineyard
It's called The Vineyard. The catchphrase used by those who want others to know they summer there every year. Summer, of course, is a verb in this instance. And our hottie displays the quintessential attire of one who summers in The Vineyard.
Our HOTT Crew wants to point out how delighted we are that our debonair gentleman is wearing a Panama Hat (as opposed to a Trilby). A Panama Hat is worn by masculine, successful and confident men. Men such as today's hottie! A Trilby is only appropriate if one is playing the character Ryan Evans in a local production of High School Musical. Just so you know.

Summer Wedding Issue
There's nothing like an All-American wedding. And the two stunningly adorable hunks above show us that the more things change, the more they stay the same. And for that we're very thankful! Interestingly the hottie above right looks uncannily like the hottie we featured way back in April 2012 in our "Why We Bike" post. Hmmm.
The ever so handsome and charming couple above remind us that we're in the height of wedding season, and with Equal Marriage now being the law of the land there are a lot of weddings to attend. But what should one wear to a wedding? Our HOTT Crew has some very simple and helpful advice:
Dress for the church, not for the reception.
For example, if your friends are getting married in a barn (don't laugh, Jesus was born in a barn!) then you'll want to dress just like the hunky and handsome duo above!
If, however, you'll be attending a wedding at one of the more popular Episcopal church venues in Boston then simply scroll through the pictorial guide below to see what style of clothing you should strive for at each particular church.
Above left: Trinity Church at Copley Square; Above right, Emmanuel Church on Newbury St
Above Left, St. John's in JP; Above Right, Church of the Advent on Beacon Hill
Above Left, Church of the Redeemer in Chestnut Hill; Above Right, St Mary of the Harbor in Ptown
Above Left, Christ Church Cambridge, MA; Above Right, St Anne's in-the-Fields in Lincoln, MA
If you look good at the church, you'll look great at the reception! Our HOTT Crew hope the tips above serve you well as you embark on this very busy wedding season!

Double Tuesday - Happy Bastille Day!
For Bastille Day we have this delightful pic of two very happy hotties. We rather enjoy hottie on the left's workboots paired with what appears to be a European Men's Carry All. And hottie on the right seems to be emulating hottie on the left's pose. Notice how his left arm is in the same position and same angle as his double. And both have a certain glow on their faces. Wonder what made them so happy? Hmmmmm!
For Bastille Day we bring you our favorite rendition of La Marseillaise!

Holy Mary, Mother of God...
...pray for us cyclists, now and on the other hot days! What a scorcher it was on our 50 mile bike ride in the western suburbs! Meanwhile, our scorcher of a hottie cools off deep in the recesses of Porter Square Station, the deepest and coolest station on the T!
And besides being beset with heat, our HOTT Crew had the misfortune of locking all of our bikes together in Natick with GB's bike lock. Which, upon us exiting from The Bakery at Natick Square, failed to work and rendered our bikes all locked together! What to do?!?!
Hats off to the staff at The Bakery for coming up with tools that enabled us to slowly but surely cut through the steel cables, freeing us to continue on our way back to Boston in the stifling heat.

Summer Suburb Sensation
Our HOTT Crew cycled from Boston up to Rockport and then, after consuming some very fine craft beers, took the commuter rail back and captured this handsome man of the burbs on the train. It's as if he's gazing right at us!

We not only adore the Henley style T-shirt, which really shows off a man's masculinity, but we also find the Euro-style horizontal stripes absolutely perfect! We've said previously that American men simply don't know how to wear horizontal stripes, so this stunning gent surely must be from the Continent.

Fireworks!
Today we show you a gaggle of hotties from our adventures on the Charles River for the 4th of July fireworks. Our dapper man above wears boater and quintessentially British punting attire for our American holiday. We enjoy people who have the confidence to wear vintage costumes on special occasions. We thought his outfit was marvelous!
And when he stood up to stretch the entire Cambridge side of the Charles River swooned! Good show, dapper hottie!
And this beauty of a man shows that hard work pays off. Hard work of exercising the right muscles. The slope of the, you know, rear window is quite fetching.
He even looks great sitting down!
Above an MIT Engineering student (one of many with him) combines the High School Musical look (fedora) with Pink Floyd's The Wall logo on his pajama pants. We're not sure he realizes Pink Floyd is what his grandparents listened to in college. Our Pink Floyd gent was part of the group of MIT Engineering students putting up a tarp to protect themselves from the brief rainfall. After watching them spend an hour and a half not quite successfully installing a shelter we think maybe a transfer to UMass Boston might be in order. But we have to give the credit for keeping us laughing hysterically for so long!
One of our favorite men at the fireworks was a fellow we called "Mr. Selfie", as he was seemingly taking selfies for over an hour. This is how he watched the fireworks show! I guess models have to build their picture portfolio somehow. Reminded us of the classic selfie video below:
