Blue Man Group

A handsome man of emotional extremes and sensitive depth, our hottie holds his fellow travelers spellbound with his Aqua Velva colored runners that electrified everyone onboard with suspense. His leather weekend case indicates he's off for a holiday excursion and a time of celebration at ringing in the new year.

Meanwhile our HOTT Crew is planning a quiet evening at our HOTT Headquarters this New Years Eve and will watch, as usual that classic fifties horror flick The Bad Seed. Seems a fitting way to recognize all that was 2016. Here's a trailer for the film...

Obam'esque

While Alan Dershowitz is excoriating the foreign policy of Barack Obama (his former student at Harvard Law) we discovered a striking gentleman who looks just like Obama during his time at Harvard Law! And at the Harvard Station that's practically underneath Harvard Law School, no less!

Whether you agree or not with Alan Dershowitz one has to admit this striking hottie above certainly has his domestic policy on the T down pat! He's.... Obam'esque!

We adore running into a happy hottie, and what a stroke of luck that we ran into two of them at the same time! Hottie on the left is adorably attired in an argyle sweater vest, while hottie on the right goes with a lean fit look. Both quite fun to observe on our commute!

Boxing Day Hottie

He knows how to pose, and he does it so well. Our tall man leans back for a Boxing Day ride on the T much to our delight.

Normally our HOTT Crew hosts a Boxing Day extravaganza at our HOTT Headquarters, but there's massive change for the worse in the year ahead so we decided to devote Boxing Day to delivering boxes of gifts to those who had no family to visit for Christmas. And we really enjoyed it!

The Christmas Broadcast 2016

Every year, wherever we are our HOTT Crew gathers together on Christmas Day to watch The Queen's Speech to her peoples throughout the Empire. It's a very personal speech from Her Majesty, and a source of inspiration and hope.

This year HM The Queen describes the powerful impact of a community of people working together by individually doing small things with great love

In a time of upheaval and uncertainty those words are important to reflect on as we determine our response to these changing times.

Do small things, and do them with great love!

Evergreen

'Twas the night before Christmas... and we found a hottie in brilliant Christmas green! So athletic and lean and long. Quite the attractive fellow as we go about the city on this last evening before Christmas.

The stores are closed, Christmas Eve dinner is being prepared, and a still is descending all around us. Don't worry, though. Hotties on the T doesn't take the holiday off! We'll see you tomorrow!

Fabulous Friday - The Homecoming

Our ever so handsome hottie sums up the theme we see today on the T as the masses begin the journey home. Scores of suitcase toting T-riders fill the trains as the Holiday Homecoming season begins. And what a stunningly gorgeous smile our gent has and how well he accessorizes with that colorful holiday scarf!

Meanwhile our HOTT Crew friend Dodie is preparing for the holidays with her annual "water diet", this year using Icelandic Glacial Water. As you can see below Dodie's rather invigorated with her new water diet.

Of course we haven't forgotten Lola. GB texted her the other day inviting her to coffee and got this classic Lola response.

Wizard of Twelf!

For the second time this season we encountered the legendary Twelf (dressed like a twink from waist down, dressed like an elf from the waist up). And this stunning fellow also sports a moustache just like the one worn by the Gatekeeper to Emerald City! We adore stylish and creative moustaches!

The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit

Individual good looks with a collectivist affirmation of couture put our hottie front and center on the commute home. He has the look and demeanor of a banker. Yet we don't really know much about our handsome man. We do know that he's unlikely to be British (a British banker always adheres the the fashion maxim for dress shoes in the City: Never brown in town). So he must be American. And not a transplant from Manhattan (his lack of a Filson satchel is the indicator for that insight). A Midwestern native new to our chilly New England shores?

Double Tuesday - Quite the Cannoli

Our hottie duo is packing cannoli on the T! They've just visited Boston's famous Mike's Pastry and are bringing their treasures back with them. As the cannoli are from Mike's we know they're filled with rich and luscious Ricotta (instead of custard), but are they chocolate or plain ricotta? Did they get some handmade cream-filled Lobster Tails? Oh the choices!

By the way, the singular is Cannolo. Plural is Cannoli. Our entomological consultant advised us on that as we wrote this post.

Otter on Ice

Our adorable otter of a hottie displays his New England roots by carrying an iced-coffee on a cold winter morn'. We also notice that Boston men tend to favor manageable 16 ounce grandé-sized iced-coffees from Starbucks while Boston women tend to favor gut busting quart-sized sugar- and milk-infused iced-coffees from Dunkin' Dontus.

Just an observation on our part.

Stormy Weather

Don't know why,
There's no sun up in the sky.
Stormy weather.
Since my man and I ain't together,
Keeps raining all the time.

What a surprise to wake up to all this snow! And now freezing rain. And what a pleasant surprise to find this adorable handsome furry fellow dressed for the storm and looking oh so fine.

Fabulous Frigid Friday - Bomber Command

Our hottie gets his warmth on with this bomber jacket. A classic in aviator style, yet we're not quite sure how he repelled the arctic temps with so little outerwear as it was 2F (-17C for those of you in our Dominions Beyond the Seas) at HOTT Headquarters this morning. However he does it we were warmed up by his presence!

To the Green Line and Beyond!

Our handsome fellow contemplates yet another long delay on the Red Line and whether or not he should just get on the Green Line and let it take him wherever it goes.

And we do want to compliment our gentleman on his Pea Coat because it's gray instead of black (nice to see some change out there in winter coats) and it fits just right! Notice how the Pea Coat follows the contours of his hour glass torso. Exactly how a Pea Coat is meant to fit! Well done, hottie!

Yesterday evening our HOTT Crew hosted a gala celebration to commemorate a new milestone for our blog... our half millionth visitor!

And in keeping with the festivities we bring to you, on this momentous day our "Man of the Year"

He's a fan of professional Frisbee! He looks fabulous in his Boston Whitecaps (our local Frisbee team) jacket made by Canterbury. And it looks really good on him, too! We can imagine ourselves on Boston Common playing Frisbee with him! And that's a realistic fantasy as this stunningly handsome gent is a professional frisbee play for the Boston Whitecaps! Check out his bio on the link below!

From what we hear our Man of the Year 2016 is smart, kind, friendly, handsome, and even has a twin brother! No wonder he's the most popular hottie on our blog during 2016!

Our HOTT Crew extends a special thanks to all of our visitors.

Second Sunday of Advent - Dazzling Blue

We're incredibly excited about the profusion of color bursting forth on the T! Here we have a dapper gentleman bedecked in the hottest of men's colors for 2017... Dazzling Blue! Just look at that tie! See how it illuminates his visage. And notice how he deftly accentuates his good looks and fine taste in style with with his brilliant white noise-cancelling headphones. And we find his shirt cuffs, which are just the right length under his sport coat sleeve, incredibly alluring.

But wait... there's more!

Opposite our fine fellow was this stunning man wearing the absolute top color for 2017... Radiant Orchid! Just look at those shades of orchid and how well they pair with our hottie's gray suit. Not only is it a fabulous color combination, but our gent is wearing the PERFECT color for the season of Advent! Oh how we'd love to see him wearing this delightful color choice in church this morning! Our apologies for not getting his face in the pic.

And a heads up... we have a most spectacular color-filled Double Tuesday in store for you!

Direct to Alewife

Tall, trim and well trendily attired our lean handsome fellow displays a fine style for an urban lifestyle as he awaits a train towards Alewife. Cuffed jeans that fit well in all areas. Smart city boots for navigating the sidewalks of the city. Stylish yet understated jacket layered over a gray flannel sweater. He's sumptuous in every way!

Speaking of direct, our HOTT Crew was invited to try out AT&T's new DirecTV Now TV app. As we only review products for which we pay we bought the service and have the following review:
AT&T DirecTV Now service commenced November 30, 2016 with up to 120 live TV channels plus Video on Demand (VoD) for TV programs and movies.

We opted for the "Go Big" lineup of approximately 110 channels being offered for a limited time at only $35 per month. We paid for the first 3 months in advance in order to qualify for the free Apple TV 4th Generation (32GB, a $149 value, and being shipped to us in 2-3 weeks). Plus, we'll be locked in at the $35 monthly price as long as we remain an active customer of the service. That amounts to a savings of $300 per year over the regular price.

And the Go Big package is $53 less per month than what we pay for a comparable package through Comcast.

AT&T DirecTV Now is available on Apple TV, iPhone and iPad, as well as on your Mac desktop or laptop. We found the interface (above) on our Apple TV rather straightforward. There is a brief learning curve for discovering and learning the different options for clicking, swiping, etc on the Apple TV remote.

Video and audio quality is superb, again much better than what we get with Comcast. We like the ease, low cost and portability of the service. You can simultaneously stream live or VoD programs to a max of 2 devices.

As this is a brand new product AT&T DirecTV Now does a fine job of clearly labeling this as a "1.0" release. There are occasional glitches, as well as not quite a full suite of VoD shows. In Boston (and many other US cities local live TV is not included (we've been using a $9 antenna to get local TV shows in HD quality for quite awhile and will continue to do that). A selection of ABC and NBC network programs are available VoD.

We like the NBC Sports channel, BBC World News, CNBC, Bloomberg, Comedy Central, CNN, MSNBC, and many more. Apparently Boston residents can watch Celtics games on Comcast SportsNet New England's TV Everywhere service. Plus there are multiple sports channels included in our Go Big package.

We think the AT&T DirecTV Now service is enjoyable, and anticipate they will make some tweaks to the system in the near future that make this a highly attractive option to getting Cable TV-style service at a fraction of the cost.

And if you would like a free Apple TV 4th Generation in time for Christmas you can't go wrong with prepaying for 3 months of the Go Big channel lineup, saving you $45 on an Apple TV alone. For more details click on these 2 article titles below:

Double Tuesday - How Far Away?

What a fun pair of hotties! And we couldn't help but wonder if these two might be using what our very own FTH describes as a "Dating App". You know, the kind that tells you how far away your potential "date" might be. We rather like the rough-and-tumble, yet polished look these two gents have. And both are quite different, yet complimentary to each other. One has styled hair, the other has a ski cap. One has bright red T-shirt and open jacket, the other is zipped completely up and even swathed around the neck for warmth. One has noticeably stressed jeans, the other regular jeans. Both, however, have their hands in their pockets.

We hope they found a date!

First Sunday of Advent - House of Cards

The Christmas season is like Netflix's House of Cards, and we begin our annual observance of Advent, our countdown to Christmas, with this striking gentleman.

And why is the Christmas season like House of Cards?

It comes but once a year. It's not available early. One has to wait for it. And as the release date approaches we have a heavy yet joyful sense of expectation.

And when the release date does arrive we can choose to gorge on it in one massive binge (like Baptists), parcel it out sparingly 1 episode per week (like Roman Catholics), haphazardly watch it (like the Methodists, Presbyterians and the United Church of Christ), or stretch it out in a manageable manner of 2 or 3 episodes per week (like Lutherans and Episcopalians).

Our point is that the Christmas season begins December 25th and lasts for.... 12 days. Yes, that's what the song is about!

So our HOTT Headquarters is not yet decorated with Christmas decorations, just as we are not yet watching House of Cards... because the date of celebration, the season we'll be observing, hasn't yet arrived.

Instead we're enjoying this season of expectation.

We invite you to join us in enjoying the lead-up to Christmas by observing the Season of Advent, and to try doing what we're doing which is to hold off actually celebrating the momentous day and joyful season until it actually arrives.

P.S. It's worth noting that people who have already put up their Christmas tree are likely to have voted for Trump. Just saying.

Happy Thanksgiving

Our handsome gent has an air of thankfulness about him. Tall, lean, and poised he's off and ready for a gathering of family and friends. No need for him to bring a dish to dinner... he is the dish!

Our HOTT Crew is flung far and wide this year. But as on every Thanksgiving we share with you this reflection of ours.

Thanksgiving is a special time for everyone on the HOTT Crew. It arrives at a poignant time of year as the trees stand newly shorn of their leaves, the days have shrunk to what seems like a few hours of light between the two darknesses, and the chill in the air hints ominously of what's to come. And as the nation stops, we gather together just as a band of haggard Pilgrims in a new land once did... to offer their thanks to God.
