And now, we proudly present our HOTT Crew's endorsements for President of the United States!
If you're registered as a Democrat we endorse...
The Democratic candidates! Vote for one of the above. You'll be happy campers!
If you're registered as Un-enrolled or Republican why not prevent the current Republican front runner from getting more votes! Therefore we endorse..
Ben Carson!
See you at the polls. And wear that I VOTED sticker with pride like the hottie below!

And the Winner Is...
Sunday, 28 February 2016
Oh Oscar!
Our hottie is so handsome he should win an Academy Award! Everything about him is perfection. Certainly an award winner in our books. We'll be hosting a grand Oscar Gala at HOTT Headquarters this evening, but that hasn't gotten in the way of our preparations for our biggest gala... the final episode of Downton Abbey next Sunday!
We'll be recreating each meal at Downton Abbey in real time as it's served on TV. This morning we worked on what we call "Upstairs Breakfast", i.e. soft cooked eggs with toast soldiers. Above is our Roesle Egg Topper and two soft boiled eggs in their Le Creuset egg cups. All very upper class. And below...
...is the finished product. Soft boiled eggs cooked to perfection and perfectly sliced for dipping of toast soldiers or scooping out with a teaspoon. If doing this at home please don't forget to garnish the finished product with Maldon Sea Salt (a favorite of HM Queen Elizabeth II !). We've got breakfast down, now all that's left for practice is Elevenses, Luncheon, Afternoon Tea, and Dinner.

Fabulous Friday - Tall, Dark & Handsome
Like a much needed venti dark roast from Starbucks our hottie breathes new life into the day with his stunningly tall and trim physique, astute use of the color black in his attire, and a voluptuous head of hair and beard. And he's reading a hardcover book! This is a man we'd definitely like to know better. Much better!

Double Tuesday - Golly Gumdrops!
There's an excitement we get when we capture two hotties in one pic. It's the kind of excitement the Earl of Grantham expressed when he learned his daughter Lady Edith was about to marry a Marquess (a higher rank than an Earl!) and let loose with "Golly Gumdrops!". These 2 gentlemen above were most delightful, had smiles a mile wide, and were Spanish! How exotic! Golly Gumdrops we got a double!
Meanwhile, speaking of Marquesses, our HOTT Crew is quite put out with Bertie Pelham (oh, excuse us, the newly elevated 7th Marquess of Brancaster). It's well known now that Bertie withdrew his proposal as Lady Edith didn't trust him with the secret of her daughter Marigold, and therefore couldn't trust her. But that's not how it played out! Please note, Bertie is now Lord Hexham.
Lord Hexham: So, do you have an answer for me [a yes or no to his proposal of marriage]?
Lady Edith: Well, I have a past. You see, I've not led a simple life.
Lord Hexham: I'll take that as a yes! [Plants big kiss on Lady Edith, thus preventing her from finishing telling him that she has a daughter out of wedlock]
So It's Bertie's fault, not Lady Edith! She tried to tell him but he interrupted her! How dare he blame her now for not telling him about the love child! If Lord Hexham wants to be invited to our HOTT Crew's Boxing Day gala next December he's going to have to make amends, and fast!

The Eyes Have It
Our hottie is packing a glasses.com box as well as a winning stance, making for a motivational start to the beginning of the week.
And our HOTT Crew had a lovely ending of the week by extending our weekly Downton Abbey party to include a preshow: Disneyland 60! Idina Menzel movingly sang Let It Go, but the real humdinger of the evening was delivered by Lady Edith who movingly called her sister (Lady Mary) a bitch. Not once, but twice! Go Edith! And now it's time for us to tell our HOTT Crew friend Dodie to avert her eyes.
Although we adore Bertie Pelham we have a fondness for naked pics of Mary's beau Henry Talbot (above left). And what looks better in front of a magnificent manor home than bare aristocratic butt! Meanwhile our HOTT Crew is busy planning our Downton Abbey Finale Gala. Will Bertie come to his senses? Will Tom recall he has a sex drive of his on? Will Larry Grey grovel at Isobel's feet? Will Mary finally do right by her sister - even to the point of sharing Henry? Will the adulterous Mr. McKidd and Mrs. Dorrit produce a little Dorrit? Will Barrow really not care if you threw coconuts at him. The suspense is killing us!

Betwixt Warm and Cold
What a wild swing in weather we've had in the past week, and what a wildly hot looking gent in front of us on the T! Our attractive fellow shows how to dress for that in-between weather we're having where it's not bitter cold, but it's not warm enough to go without a jacket. He has that off to the skate park look about him. Perhaps he's going to the Lynch Family Skatepark near Kendall Square!
Speaking of sports, our HOTT Crew was stunned to learn that our friends Dodie and Lola are spending the day at the Daytona 500. They certainly have a wide variety of interests!

Fabulous Friday - The Survivor
Incredibly handsome and bedecked in hues of charcoal and navy, our hottie shows supreme calmness amidst a hellish commute. He is a survivor of yesterday's T nightmare. Things seem to be working fine this morning, perhaps due to the Governor threatening to hang the nearest T executive. A blunt thing to say, but it worked! And worked far better than Bev's backtracking and scapegoating last year.

A Good Read
Our very handsome man enjoys a good read on his commute, while our HOTT Crew wanted to slide in next to him to see which book he's reading. And to partake in the warmth of his shawl-collared wool sweater which so marvelously compliments his blonde hair. He's adorable!

Double Tuesday - Feels Like Monday
Thick ice from the overnight ice storm made walking outside almost impossible. And our 2 handsome hotties show well the weariness one feels after making it onto a train where it's safe and warm. Hottie on the left is gorgeous in his North Face jacket and closed, contemplative eyes. Hottie on the right make his outfit pop with a lime green toboggan and athletic bag (he works out!).

Warm and Casual
We got this handsome fellow on our blog before we even got off the train! The LL Bean Duck Boots are handsomely holding the cuffs of his jeans. The fur lined hooded parka ready to keep our man warm as soon as he ventures out of the T. Group Hug
Because a group hug is the only thing that will keep us warm today! Our hottie is as bundled up on the T as he can be. We think his scarf is quite attractive. And his coat looks warm, too. Which is a really good thing because...
The official low temperature at HOTT Headquarters was -12F this morning! That's -11C! Forget the roses, forget going out to brunch. It's stay inside in your 2(x)ist long underwear and make brunch indoors. We hope you were as prescient as our HOTT Crew and went out to stock up on food yesterday when it was a balmy 15F.
Happy Frigid Valentines Day!

Brrrrrr!
Our hottie can warm you up on even the coldest day! Fortunately we were on his train, and his handsome smile definitely warmed our hearts.
And if you want a helpful tip on how to stay warm, do what Olympic Gymnast Louis Smith (below) does... he throws his clothes into the dryer just before getting dressed!
Tomorrow morning's temps will be -5F to -10F, so make sure your face, neck and hands are all covered as the windchill factor will be around -35F! Or if you're indoors with Louis Smith just dress as he's dressed above ;-)

Fabulous Friday - Arctic Blast
Our cute as all get out hottie knows how to keep warm as the arctic blast muscles its way into Boston. And his hybrid Michelen Man/Quilted jacket keeps him toasty warm on this frigid morning.
It was 5F (-15C for those of you in our Dominions Beyond the Seas) as our HOTT Crew awoke so we all lounged about at HOTT Headquarters wearing our seriously warm and comfortable 2(x)ist long johns and sipping coffee. Talk about feeling confident and comfy! And last, but not least...
Wind chill factors in Boston on Saturday and Sunday (especially Sunday) will be as low as -40F! Cover up any exposed skin (except when indoors, of course)!

Let's Make a Revolution
We love the juxtaposition of our hottie from Eton University (notice the Eton cap in traditional school colors) beneath a sign for the New England Revolution soccer team. There's a revolution in the air these days, that's for sure. And our hottie looks as if he's ready to take part.
Meanwhile...
Valentine's Day is Sunday and you should order your roses by 1pm today for delivery on Friday. Use this link by 1pm today and you'll help support Public Broadcasting at WBUR while also showing your love for that special someone.
http://www.wbur.org/support/valentines-day-roses?gclid=CMDS8YeB8MoCFUIfhgodPsEM1Q
You want them for Friday delivery because:
1). It'll be bitter cold this weekend. Wind chills down to -30F!
2). Roses delivered to a loved one's office on a Friday make a huge impression ;-)
And when they do arrive mix 6 teaspoons of sugar with 1 quart of water (or 25 grams of sugar to 1 litre of water) and put the cut roses in that mixture. The blooms will last an extra 2 1/2 days!
Trust us, we know of what we speak. We're scientists!

At All Times Be Prepared
Our handsome fellow has the perfect New England look for winter. Protective, stylish, sensible. Of course he's probably trailing trailing a sea of rock salt wherever he walks, just as we all are, and accumulating quite the mess indoors no matter how fastidious we are about removing our shoes. And as we deal with that mess you'll also notice a sea of people with black smudges on their foreheads today.
Do not tell them to wipe the dirt off their faces! It's Ash Wednesday!
And those smudges are dust to remind us of our immortality.
Just a public service announcement on our part so that you don't whip out a kleenex and wipe someone's forehead clean!
Oh... don't forget to get out your massively warm wardrobe for this weekend. Temperatures should be as low as -5F to -10F!!!!!

Double Tuesday - Of Deer and Geese
Stunningly handsome in his white faux fur Deer Stalker hat, our hottie left us breathless with his good looks and adorably well-groomed facial hair. This is a man who knows how to pick just the right clothing elements, selecting them on their high standard of both form and function. But what, you may be asking, does this have to do with Geese?
As we maneuvered around our Deer Stalker hottie to get photos from different angles we also managed to get this fur-bound gentleman behind him in a Canada Goose arctic jacket! It's as if Downtown meets the New Hampshire woods, all in one picture!

French Toast Alert - HIGH!
Run to the store! We're getting a wicked bad stawm! Our Snow Bunny Hottie above shows how to dress when we get a foot or more of snow. Be like Snow Bunny!
And race now to get bread, milk and eggs. You'll need it tomorrow morning as you probably won't make it to work! Here's our recipe for French Toast Provencal:
12" cast iron skillet . The French DO NOT use teflon skillets!
5 large egs
2 cups whole milk
1 tablespoon granulated cane suger
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
5 1/2 cups lightly packed sourdough bread cubed into 3/4 inch pieces.
5 slices thickly cut bacon, sliced into 1/2 pieces
3 large Granny Smith apples
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons light brown sugar mixed with 1 tablespoon maple syrup
Preheat oven to 375F
Mix first 6 ingredients in a bowl. Then add bread cubes and stir thoroughly until mixed.
Peel, core and then slice apples into 10 sections each.
Cook bacon on medium heat, stirring occasionally until browned. Scoop out bacon and put in a bowl by itself. Pour out all but 1 tablespoon of bacon fat from skillet. Add butter (skillet still on medium heat) and then stir in light brown sugar and maple syrup.
Add sliced apples evenly on skillet and let caramelize for 10 mins.
Sprinkle half of the bacon on top of apples. Pour on bread mixture evenly across apples. Sprinkle remaining bacon on top.

For the Love of Trees
Standing as tall as a magnificent Maple Tree our handsome fellow shows how easy it is to put together an attractive and purposeful look. It's all eyes right as our man provides a welcome view on the T! Speaking of Maple Trees...
our HOTT Crew congratulates the Cambridge Parks Department for their creative methods of maintaining a healthy urban forest while also preserving the necessary elements for the protection of urban wildlife.
The Red Maple pictured above at Arsenal Square was in need of serious trimming, and in Boston the entire tree would have been cut down and removed. But not in Cambridge! In this particular tree our HOTT Crew delights in watching a nesting pair of Downy Woodpeckers raise a family every summer, and in Winter the nesting holes are used as roosting places for the Downy Woodpeckers so they can survive the winter and escape predators such as Coopers Hawks. And Downy Woodpeckers eat pest insects such as beetles and bark borers that damage trees, so they're a great species to have and maintain in our urban environment. So Cambridge Parks Department left the trunk standing tall, rather than removing it, and preserved the nesting and roosting places for the woodpeckers. Aren't they adorable!
So keep your eyes on the trees and see if you can find these delightful and very helpful Downy Woodpeckers!

Fabulous Friday - Country Trad
Our hottie magnificently displays a version of Trad style that's very American and very suitable for those messy, icy, sloshy winter days. And look how his eyes resemble those of Colin Firth! Let's explore his style further...
Blue jeans with a cuff suitably high enough to stay out of the frigid water yet still cover the tops of his boots. A simple, always in style wool sweater in a delightful maroon/brown/charcoal color (our poor GB is colorblind and doesn't really know the true color of the sweater). A white buttoned-down Oxford shirt, beige baseball cap and a paperback book (Big Sur and the Oranges of Hieronymus Bosch by Henry Miller) make our hottie's look complete. And what a handsome fellow he is! We rather think he's a recent graduate of Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, more interested in community engagement than high finance, and is definitely well-read. He's our Fabulous Friday Hottie!
