Double Tuesday - The Collaborators - January 31, 2017

Robert Iger, CEO of The Walt Disney Company (Left) and Travis Kalanick, CEO of Uber (right).

As we've been witnessing over the past few days the destruction of fundamental human rights and over 200 years of governance by constitutional law we want to make it very clear that those who participate in the Trump administration, including those in an advisory capacity, are Collaborators. They are traitors to our nation.

We begin this week dedicating our Tuesday posts to targeting and naming 2 collaborators each week. We encourage you to publicly target and name these collaborators, too.

These two men above serve on Donald Trump's Business Council, an advisory group of CEOs. They don't have to do this. They don't get paid to do this. Yet because they do participate they are collaborators and traitors.

Name them. Target them. And treat them for what they are.

UPDATE: On afternoon of February 2, 2017 Travis Kalanick resigned from Trump's Business Council

Warm and Cuddly

It's been a disconcerting weekend. Along with many of you it's meant getting out into the streets to show resistance to the administration's unlawful actions.

If you hear of anyone held up or denied entry at Logan International Airport due to country of origin, religion, refugee or immigration status please contact the ACLU(M) - American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts at (617) 482-3170 extension 330.

What we could use after such a weekend, if only for just a moment is someone warm and cuddly. Like this dapper gentleman above!

We also have a special shout-out for...
Old South Church in Boston!

Despite a suddenly announced demonstration held at their doorstep on Sunday they nonetheless were prepared with a sign demonstrating not only their love for others but also their determination to take action. This is the mark of a community of faith engaged in making the world a better place. You won't see many churches here in Boston as prepared as Old South Church, but those that are will likely have a sign like this. Just a hint in case you're looking for a community of faith!

Resistance

Immaculately and fashionably casual, our hottie peruses the latest breaking news about legal residents and legal refugees being detained and deported from our nation due to the President closing borders to Muslims.

Meanwhile our HOTT Crew has been very busy as we know people directly affected by this new order. And so we're off to the airport this afternoon to join the protests! Come join us in the resistance!

Contemplative Hottie

Morning commutes are an excellent time to put oneself in a meditative state, and our hottie seems really into a contemplative mood. We took his lead and meditated on his expertly groomed hair and beard, and the nicely patterned winter coat that he was wearing. Nice job!

Double Tuesday - Wet and Wild

It's a wet and wild day outside. Drenched jackets and inside-out umbrellas abound. But on the T we found these 2 gents perfectly attired for this rain soaked day. Hottie on the left has his L. L. Bean Boots to protect him from the deep puddles and streams while hottie on the right has a rain-resistant park with fur-trimmed hood to keep those nasty gusts away.

Good job, hotties on looking good even in nasty weather!

Resolutionist?

...Or member of the Resistance?

Our hottie seems to be contemplating whether or not the age of signing up to online resolutions and petitions actually has run its course.

Our HOTT Crew was inspired yesterday and very proud of our many friends who participated in the Women's Marches. Boston. Orlando. Atlanta. Washington, D.C.! And yes, even Paris! Some participated in the Women's March in their own city, others traveled over 1,000 miles to participate in Washington, D.C. There were more women marching in Washington, D.C. on January 21 than there were people viewing the inauguration on January 20!

In deciding we want to be effective in protecting fundamental human rights our HOTT Crew is joining the resistance. Being resolutionists is beneath us. We shall always set the bar high for ourselves.

Will you be joining the resistance with us?

Pink - It's the New Color of Justice

Fresh from the Women's March we found this smoking hot hottie strutting his stuff in solidarity with women of the world by while wearing the every so appropriate salmon colored shorts set off by a stunning gray sweatshirt with horizontal pinstripes.

Weren't we all lucky it was a stunningly warm day (must be that east wind that blew in yesterday). FT and GB were exhausted just daydreaming about this fellow.

And what a fun day we had marching in Boston in solidarity with women, and in numbers larger than attended yesterday's Inauguration!

There's an East Wind Coming

Watson: It's a lovely morning, Holmes.
Holmes: There's an east wind coming, Watson.
Watson: I don't think so. Looks like another warm day.
Holmes: Good old Watson! The one fixed point in a changing age. There's an east wind coming all the same. Such a wind as never blew on America yet. It will be cold and bitter, Watson, and a good many of us may wither before its blast. But it's God's own wind, nonetheless. And a greener, stronger, better land will lie in the sunshine when the storm is cleared.

Artifacts from films frequently make their way into our blog. And artifacts that last through the ages are the foundation of films deemed to be classics.

So on this day, at this very hour we share this classic film artifact from Sherlock Holmes and the Voice of Terror to all of our peoples, both here and in our Dominions Beyond the Seas.

There's an east wind coming.

Our HOTT Crew has been riveted with Series 4 of Masterpiece's Sherlock. It was absolutely chilling, especially as we learned about Redbeard. And the thrills continue on the T with this true Redbeard gent. The excitement simply never stops!

Although our HOTT Crew takes all of our own pics of men on the T we do on rare occasions (such as this) accept submissions. We think we'll call our reader who submitted this pic Dr. Watson in honor of his Redbeard Sherlock-themed hottie!

Warm Soul

Our hottie has a warm soul... that or a burst of unseasonably warm weather descended upon us. We guess it was the latter as it was 62F yesterday, prompting a plethora of men to don summer shorts! How fortuitous for our HOTT Crew!

Meanwhile our HOTT Crew is off this morning on a trip to the South Seas Islands. Above is a lovely sunrise above Manhattan. Notice how the shadows of the skyscrapers stretch across the Hudson River! Simply magnificent!

But I never heard them ringing,
No I never heard them at all
Till there was... you!

French Toast Alert - High!

Run to the store! We're getting a wicked bad stawm! Our Snow Bunny Hottie above shows how to dress when we get a foot or more of snow. Be like Snow Bunny!

And race now to get bread, milk and eggs. You'll need it tomorrow morning as you probably won't make it to work! Here's our recipe for French Toast Provencal:

French Toast a la Provence

Things you'll need:

12" cast iron skillet . The French DO NOT use teflon skillets!
5 large egs
2 cups whole milk
1 tablespoon granulated cane suger
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
5 1/2 cups lightly packed sourdough bread cubed into 3/4 inch pieces.
5 slices thickly cut bacon, sliced into 1/2 pieces
3 large Granny Smith apples
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons light brown sugar mixed with 1 tablespoon maple syrup

Preheat oven to 375F

Mix first 6 ingredients in a bowl. Then add bread cubes and stir thoroughly until mixed.

Peel, core and then slice apples into 10 sections each.

Cook bacon on medium heat, stirring occasionally until browned. Scoop out bacon and put in a bowl by itself. Pour out all but 1 tablespoon of bacon fat from skillet. Add butter (skillet still on medium heat) and then stir in light brown sugar and maple syrup.

Add sliced apples evenly on skillet and let caramelize for 10 mins.

Sprinkle half of the bacon on top of apples. Pour on bread mixture evenly across apples. Sprinkle remaining bacon on top.

Place skillet in oven for 30 mins. Remove, flip onto serving dish immediately and then let sit for 5 minutes to firm up.

Slice and serve warm with maple syrup or save for later and reheat in microwave.

Serves 6 to 8 people!
