Run for the Money

Our handsome fellow's shapely calves give notice that he's athletic in his leisurely pursuits. And from his royal blue running jersey we see that he participates in fun runs! We're willing to try to keep up with him! And how nice that his fun runs are fundraisers. We like men who give back to the community!

And we've postponed our regular Traitor Tuesday post as there will be plenty of traitors on view this evening at the joint session of Congress. We will return with our popular Traitor Tuesday postings next week.

La La Light

In our world driven by money we took delight in coming across this Henry Blodget look-alike. We swoon when we find handsome Wall Street types who have great potential be our sugar daddies for a well-funded retirement.  Just look at the way he...

...wait...

Breaking news... we just featured the wrong hottie!
So sorry! We meant to tell you about this earthy back-to-nature fellow with enough facial fur to keep us warm on a cold winter's night! He eschews big business and material trappings and instead focuses on what's really important in life: people. A man secure in himself and giving to others. What a joy to see him on the T!

The Sky is the Limit

A handsome furry faced man wearing a Sky brand pullover and we see that at times on the T the Sky is the Limit! We rather like the pairing of his auburn hair with the charcoal wool coat and gray pullover. The entire package is quite attractive!

The Sister Juliette Award - February 25, 2017

Every Saturday we bestow our highest honor upon an individual who has shown exemplary courage in standing up and speaking out for truth, justice, and the American Way.

The recipient of this week's Sister Juliette Award is Reverend John Edgerton of Old South Church in Boston. Reverend Edgerton has been a shining example of how to effectively oppose fascism, racism, homophobia and xenophobia in a non-violent manner.

And as for all recipients of our highest honor we also give to Reverend John Edgerton this metaphorical solid gold medallion featuring Sister Juliette. The design of the Sister Juliette Medallion is based on a likeness of Sister Juliette in 1945, 3 years after she left the convent and the year when she was cornered in a Belgian safe house by a squad of the Gestapo. Sister Juliette bravely burst out of the safe house with her gun blazing while she was fatally brought down in a hail of gunfire (taking 3 Gestapo officers with her).

Congratulations, Reverend John Edgerton!

Fabulous Friday - Younger Than Springtime

Younger than springtime, are you.
Softer than starlight, are you.
Warmer than winds of June
are the gentle lips you gave me.

- Younger than Springtime from South Pacific

Glorious weather outside, warmer than it's ever been in Boston in February, and an equally gorgeous hottie waiting for his train inspire our HOTT Crew to burst forth in Springtime song! What's especially noteworthy is that our hottie chooses such brilliant colors that pair so well with the weather outside. Black coats be gone, make way for Spring!

Violets are Blue

We're not sure why the poem says "violets are blue" when the color "violet" isn't blue. Or is it. HOTT Crew member GB, who describes our pictures for us is color blind. It's all very confusing... until you get a handsome fellow like this standing in front of you!

Whatever the color of his shirt we must say it seems to pair well with his charcoal wool coat and dress slacks. And if the wool coat is too warm for today's weather our handsome gent's open collar will help cool him off. Perfection!

On the Road to Patagonia

Looking good in his Patagonia jacket (it's a smart man who refrains from wearing Under Armour attire these days) our handsome fellow breezes under our fair city on the train while simultaneously breezing through his hardcover book. Handsome, smart, and well-read. Just how we like our man.

Speaking of books...
Our HOTT Crew friend Dodie has just published her first book (above)! It's a coloring book for children and teaches them what to do about the fascists in the White House. It's already received a huge order from the Orange County Public School System in Orlando! Way to go, Dodie the Fascist Slayer!

Traitor Tuesday - February 21, 2017

Elon Musk - CEO of Tesla & SpaceX
Kevin Plank - CEO of Under Armour

Each Tuesday we name and target two people who act as traitors to our nation by collaborating with the President and his administration by serving on the President's Business Advisory Council.

This week we add to our list of collaborators and traitors Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX and Kevin Plank, CEO of Under Armour.

Both CEOs claim that they use their collaboration with the President to advocate for immigrant rights, yet their presence on the advisory council is making things worse, not better.

As for how to best deal with a hot-headed President we suggest trying the "starve a fever" remedy.

Remember these CEOs when buying cars or clothes.

Je Suis IKEA

The American President managed this weekend to show the entire nation of Sweden that he's a moron, so we thought we'd take this time to show the Swedes that most of us Americans actually have some intelligence. As Sweden is our friend we thought we'd offer our blog today in English and Swedish. To all of you from Sweden, Välkommet!

It's not easy getting a picture of two hotties at one time.
Det är inte lätt att fÃ¥ en bild av tvÃ¥ snyggingar pÃ¥ en gÃ¥ng.

We were trying to get a picture of the gentleman on the left and afterwards discovered we had a second handsome gent in the picture!
Vi försökte fÃ¥ en bild av mannen till vänster och därefter upptäckte vi hade en andra stilig Gent i bilden!

We like the way both handsome men are wearing business casual attire.
Vi gillar hur de bÃ¥da snygga män bär business casual klädsel.

It's like a smorgasbord of handsome men directly in front of us!
Det är som ett smörgåsbord av vackra män rakt framför oss!

That is some bulge in the pants of the hottie on the left!
Det är några bula i byxorna av snyggingen till vänster!

They have such a fresh look. Perhaps they can teach us to speak proper Swedish!

Denizens of Dallas

When our HOTT Crew friends Beemer and Biscuit told us they were traveling to Dallas we reacted in horror. Dallas is in Texas, that big scary place where they shoot New Englanders for sport! The Dallas airport is bigger than Rhode Island! They drink sweetened iced-tea!

But Beemer and Biscuit bravely boarded the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), a mass transit system that amazingly has NO twitter hashtag and captured this stunningly handsome and happy couple enjoying a commute to wherever it is that the DART system travels (we've heard tales that it serves some town called Plano).

Handsome fellow on the left displays deft use of fabric texture with his ribbed long-sleeved sweater paired with fashionable eyewear while our handsome guy on the right shows his Texas roots by pairing a Bison-themed buttoned-down shirt with an Apple Watch.

And lets take a look at their Orange Line trains!

Dallas' light rail vehicles are made by Kinki-Sharyo (superior to our similar Breda Trolleys in Boston) and festooned in a color scheme identical to the MBTA's buses! The MBTA buses came long before Dallas so we can only assume they copied our color scheme.

We've heard rumors that Texans are well-fed, and indeed we've discovered they make sure even commuters on the DART system are provided with classical entertainment at stations and given sufficient food to last the journey. What a concept!

The Sister Juliette Award - February 18, 2017

Every Saturday we bestow our highest honor upon an individual who has shown exemplary courage in standing up and speaking out for truth, justice, and the American Way.

This week we bestow the Sister Juliette Award upon Callie Crossley (above). Callie is host of WGBH News' "Under the Radar" on 89.7FM,  frequently is host of WGBH's "Basic Black" and often serves as a panelist on WGBH's "Beat the Press". Callie also produced 2 of the 6 hours of the Academy Award-nominated (Best Documentary Feature) "Eyes on the Prize".

We bestow this award (and solid gold medallion*, below) upon Callie for her journalistic excellence and her consistency in eloquently defending the dignity of every human being. In addition, Callie challenges us all to discover the better angels of our nature by standing with us while encouraging us to walk towards the light of justice.
The Sister Juliette Medallion - 1/2 Ounce of Pure Gold

Our Sister Juliette Awards is inspired by a real-life sharpshooting nun from the Vatican who, in 1942 left the Vatican to assassinate Nazis.

Congratulations, Callie on receiving our prestigious award!

*We don't actually give a gold medallion. We only give a picture of it. The actual medallion is part of our investment portfolio.

Fabulous Friday - A Man for Our Time

There are those who look at things the way they are, and ask why? I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?

Robert F. Kennedy
____________________________

Some riders on the T may ask why this beautiful dreamboat of a man isn't their boyfriend, while our HOTT Crew simply gazes at him and says, "He's our next boyfriend!". The stunning evening light of a cold and wintry day cast upon Boston's skyscrapers, all highlighted in the smoothly frozen Charles River is the perfect backdrop for this adorably handsome man. Right now it just doesn't get any better than this on the T.

But wait... Governor Baker has announced he's searching for a permanent "CEO-Style" General Manager of the MBTA. Well, dear readers... we have the perfect candidate (and we'll claim that consulting fee you're willing to pay to find him, Governor Baker):
Keith Parker could be our first Action Figure GM for the MBTA!
When Beverly Scott left Atlanta's rapid transit system after 5 years as GM without accomplishing any of the goals she set for herself when she started, she stated it would have been "arrogance at best" to expect her to fix a system with such historic issues.

And then along came Keith Parker! Our handsome, hunky, superhero of a gentleman above!

Keith took on the role that Beverly left and in just TWO YEARS accomplished all of the goals Beverly said weren't possible! If that's arrogance we want it here!
Let's be honest... he's handsome!
We need Keith Parker as General Manager of the MBTA! At this historic moment when Boston's viability as a center of business, education, healthcare and technology is at risk of disappearing due to a malfunctioning transit system we need to invest in bringing Keith Parker to lead the way back to being a world class city!
Wears a suit yet not afraid to ride a bus. We love him!
He's not only a can-do kind of guy, he's gorgeous!!!!!
Safety, Show, Courtesy, Capacity in action!
Google Keith Parker MARTA and you'll find tons of pics of him on the subways and buses of Atlanta. Google Beverly Scott and you'll find tons of pics of podiums. Nuff said!
Proud to ride Mass Transit - Mass Transit That Works!
Pay this man $500,000 per year (Atlanta  renewed his contract 2 years ago and gave him a big raise, so we need to up the ante to get him to accept what would be the greatest challenge and accomplishment of his career)! He'll be worth every penny!

It's time to look at MARTA CEO Keith Parker as our next General Manager of the MBTA and say, "why not!".

The Sister Juliette Award - February 11, 2017

Every Saturday we bestow our highest honor upon an individual or group who have shown exemplary courage in standing up and speaking out for truth, justice, and the American Way.

This week we bestow the Sister Juliette Award to the 6 team members of the New England Patriots who show strength and courage not only on the playing field but also when confronted with fascists. These 6 players above are not going to the White House to collaborate with the President. We salute you, you 6 true patriots. Especially as the other players from the New England Patriots don't have the balls to do what you are doing!

Our Sister Juliette Awards is inspired by a real-life sharpshooting nun from the Vatican who, in 1942 left the Vatican to assassinate Nazis.

French Toast Alert - HIGH! (February 8, 2017)

Run to the store! We're getting a wicked bad stawm! Our Snow Bunny Hottie above shows how to dress when we get a foot or more of snow. Be like Snow Bunny!

And race now to get bread, milk and eggs. You'll need it tomorrow morning as you probably won't make it to work! Here's our recipe for French Toast Provencal:

French Toast a la Provence

Things you'll need:

12" cast iron skillet . The French DO NOT use teflon skillets!
5 large egs
2 cups whole milk
1 tablespoon granulated cane suger
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
5 1/2 cups lightly packed sourdough bread cubed into 3/4 inch pieces.
5 slices thickly cut bacon, sliced into 1/2 pieces
3 large Granny Smith apples
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons light brown sugar mixed with 1 tablespoon maple syrup

Preheat oven to 375F

Mix first 6 ingredients in a bowl. Then add bread cubes and stir thoroughly until mixed.

Peel, core and then slice apples into 10 sections each.

Cook bacon on medium heat, stirring occasionally until browned. Scoop out bacon and put in a bowl by itself. Pour out all but 1 tablespoon of bacon fat from skillet. Add butter (skillet still on medium heat) and then stir in light brown sugar and maple syrup.

Add sliced apples evenly on skillet and let caramelize for 10 mins.

Sprinkle half of the bacon on top of apples. Pour on bread mixture evenly across apples. Sprinkle remaining bacon on top.

Place skillet in oven for 30 mins. Remove, flip onto serving dish immediately and then let sit for 5 minutes to firm up.

Slice and serve warm with maple syrup or save for later and reheat in microwave.

Serves 6 to 8 people!

Traitor Tuesday - February 7, 2016

Rich Lessor (above) - President & CEO of Boston Consulting Group

Larry Fink (above) - Chairman & CEO of Blackrock (iShares)

Each Tuesday we name and target two people who act as traitors to our nation by collaborating with the President and his administration.

Rich Lessor, President & CEO of Boston Consulting Group has used his position on the President's Strategic and Policy Forum to offer weak opposition to the President's use of religion and national origin to create a ban on refugees, immigrants and visitors. If this is what Boston Consulting Group offers in Management Consulting we want no part of them, and neither should you.

Larry Fink, Chairman and CEO of Blackrock is a member of the President's Strategic and Policy Forum (if you have iShares ETFs in your investment portfolio you're supporting this traitor) and tells his employees to maintain strong relationships with diverse teams overseas yet doesn't hold himself to his own standards. Look at your investment portfolio, see if you have any iShares ETFs, and make your plans accordingly. Noteworthy is that Vanguard, Larry's competitor, is not collaborating with the President.

Just as we name and target these two men as traitors, we invite you to do the same.

The Sister Juliette Award - Maura Healey

The recipient this week of our prestigious "Sister Juliette Award" is Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey! Each Tuesday we now name and target 2 collaborators / traitors with the current Presidential administration, yet we feel that it's important to also feature on a weekly basis someone who has stood up to the current President and metaphorically slayed some fascists (Sister Juliette, below, literally slayed fascists).

So, every Saturday we'll be featuring the recipient upon whom we bestow this award for bravery and courage in defending truth, justice and the American Way.

For Maura Healey's work in protecting all citizens of Massachusetts from discrimination based on religion and national origin, as well as for ripping the President a new orifice while being interviewed on MSNBC we bestow our HOTT Crew's highest honor: The Sister Juliette Award.

Congratulations, Maura!
