Orange Julius

Our hottie is as delicious looking as an Orange Julius is tasty. And his burnt orange jacket is not only ideal for the weather outside today and it pairs so well with the Foodler advertisements in the background. He's a man prepared for indoors and outdoors!

MetroGinger

In a spate of good luck we encountered a Ginger-haired hottie delightfully reading the Metro. The luscious luster of his thick copper-red hair, the well trimmed facial hair and the incredibly lean and tall torso made our man stand out in our train!

Speaking of Ginger men, that reminds us of Prince Harry, who reminds us of Prince William, whose wife (HRH the Duchess of Cambridge) is about to give birth at any moment. Our HOTT Crew is like this (HOTT Crew holds out all their hands with fingers crossed) with the Royal Family, and our inside connections advise us that the baby will be a girl and her name will be:

Double Tuesday - Cornered

We got our handsome Harvard hottie cornered! OK, we simply reversed the photo to create a double effect, but he's so good looking, so effortlessly attired in Ivy casual, that we couldn't help ourselves!

Tweed Ride!

We adore the tweed outfit our hottie is wearing today. He looks as if he could be in the episode of Downton Abbey where they spend a week in the Scottish Highlands all clad in their tweed jackets and scarves! And what a handsome fellow! Good show, old chap, and hope to see you on a Tweed Ride someday soon!

And appropriate attire for today's Boston Tweed Ride in which our HOTT Crew participated!
Several hundred of us gathered at Copley Square for the start of the Boston Tweed Ride. Our HOTT Crew were resplendent in their tweed jackets, hats and bow ties.
And we were off to the Esplanade as our 3 hour vintage cycling tour through Boston began.
There were lots of handlebar moustaches, and even Penny Farthing bicycles!

All in all it was a very fun day for our HOTT Crew, and we were most fortunate that it was cool outside. Tweed is very warm for cycling!

Fabulous Friday - Rabbit Run

Our handsome hottie is a lover of the Great Books. Taller than Harvard's book shelf is long (by at least 1foot) our hottie displays his academic prowess by reading John Updike's Rabbit Run. While standing! Without holding onto a rail!

And don't forget, today is Free Fare Day on the T. All rides on buses and subways are free!

Roses are Red, Violets are Blue

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
GB is colorblind,
But he thinks there's a lot of color or something going on here!

We're not sure why violets are blue. Shouldn't they be violet? Anyway, it appears that there's a lot of color going on here. The baseball cap, the background outside the window, the neighboring man's jacket. And the blue jeans. And the pattern on the seats. Oh my heavens we're awash in color! But what colors are they? Who know, who cares, the handsome man in our picture is our main interest right now!

He's an All-American Man! From the Sperry Topsiders to the Stars & Stripes boxer shorts (how daring to wear just your underwear in public!) to the luxuriously soft teal sweater (and Boston Red Sox cap, of course!) our man is the epitome of handsomeness and Prep Gone Wild.
And we managed to get a closeup view of him from the other side aboard our train!

Double Tuesday - Dutch Treat

We're eating birthday cake as we reminisce about these two adorable Dutch lads. Tall and so very European, our gentlemen hotties were having quite an enjoyable time riding on the T.

And the reason we're eating birthday cake is because today is the 89th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II !  Happy Birthday, Queen Elizabeth!
The above photo of the Queen was taken on her 42nd birthday by noted gay photographer Cecil Beaton. Classic!

Happy Feet

It's Patriots Day. The day of the Boston Marathon. And today it's all about the start of the American Revolution and... happy feet! Our hottie above has the long lithe build of a runner and his feet are kept cool and comfortable in true Cantabridgian fashion with Birkenstocks! A special tip of the hat to our hottie for his well-groomed facial hair.

And today is the anniversary of the start of the American Revolution! Whilst out cycling in Lexington and Concord this weekend we came across this adorable Redcoat at Lexington Battle Green. The British are coming!

So Conducive

He takes the travail out of travel. He makes a commute a pleasant and fun experience. Hands down he's the most professional, nicest and pleasant conductors we've come across on Commuter Rail. Even the announcements he gives on the train are happy and easy-to-understand. No matter how work has gone during the day, we know that his presence on our train is conducive to putting us back into a good place as we head home.

Fabulous Friday - Slim Fit

So slim, so blonde, so handsome! Our incredibly fit man somehow manages to find shirts that are the perfect fit for his lean athletic frame. And the golden blonde hair is adorable. What a find!

We found our handsome gent while enroute to Select Oyster of the Back Bay. The selection of oysters was lovely, the Hama Hama oysters had a beautiful melon taste on the background, and the champagne cocktails were divine. And then we ambled over to Trinity Church at Copley Square for a concert by the mens choir of St. Paul's Cathedral of London. Lovely concert, and the men in the choir were quite hot!

All Grown Up and Khaki!

Our ever so handsome hottie displays the latest in fashion forward design: the Khaki Suit! It takes a man of confidence, style, and erudition to properly wear this extraordinarily flattering look. And although we often think of khaki as casual, when properly tailored and artfully accessorized a gentleman in a khaki suit is, well, drop dead gorgeous. Like our man above!

Proof of the advent of the appropriateness of the khaki suit is the spring fashion runway scene, awash in distinctly sophisticated suits in khaki and other neutrals, from Hermes in Paris to Richard James in London to Todd Snyder in New York. Neutrals look so stunningly fresh in Summer! Our very own FT, aficionado of bespoke attire, displays below how one can look simply magnificent in a khaki suit.
Nowadays, if you're wearing a suit, you've already made your look more formal. But not all khaki is created equal: The difference between tan, khaki and stone is considerable! We prefer a richer tone like FT wears because it provides a perfect canvas upon which to add fun accenting layers.
Above, FT shows how well a luxuriously rich khaki color supports a vast range of underpinnings and accoutrements. Striped shirts and bright whimsical ties are fun to wear and pop with this style and color suit! Pretty much any color shirt and tie go really well with this outfit.

And Nubuck shoes monk-strap shoes elevate the outfit to a whole new level whilst providing the ultimate in urban comfort. We love our men in khaki!

Color Us Happy!

We're enjoying the burst of color that's popping out on men in our fair city! Like the snow drops, crocuses and daffodils pushing their way skyward now that the snow has gone, we're seeing men newly freed of the need to dress in multiple layers, resulting in hues of aqua and turquoise making their new-for-the-year appearances on the T. And our hottie's pecs... amazing!

Double Tuesday - Behind the Scenes

Our HOTT Crew marveled at the sumptuous gentleman standing next to us on the T. A velvety soft green long-sleeved T-shirt magnificently hugged every curve of his torso, and his selection of eyewear provides that sensuous academic look. And we were quite delighted to see that we were able to include in the pic the handsome hottie in the background! They seem to go well together, especially with their contrasting iPhone earphones.

In the Mood for Love

Hope springs eternal as our adorably handsome hottie wears the colors of Springtime. Riding the rails beneath the ground our man displays the profusion of color we're about to see above ground on this brilliantly sunny day.

Our HOTT Crew was in Provincetown for a brief visit this morning to get an update on the Provincetown Monorail! Due to the extreme snowfall, deep freezes and discovery of geothermal springs beneath West Vine St and Atwood St, the Provincetown Monorail opening has been delayed until May 1, 2016. The project is still a go and under construction. Details on the monorail project are here:

And now we're racing back to Boston for the Boston LGBT Film Fest! We'll be heading over to the MFA for this afternoon's showings.

Double Tuesday - Paramount & Brattle

Halfway between the Paramount Theatre in Downtown Crossing and the Brattle Theatre in Harvard Square, our two sumptuous gentlemen enjoy the beginning of Spring. Who knew 37F could feel so warm! Lighter jackets and cap-free heads let us know that warmer weather is just around the corner!

Speaking of Paramount and Brattle theatres, those just happen to be the locations for the two Boston LGBT Film Fest showings tonite!
If you work in the Back Bay or Downtown Crossing area you may wish to have a cocktail and then pop over to the Paramount Theatre to see the FREE screening of Pride (a marvelous film!).

Or, if Harvard Square is more convenient and you enjoy a delightful curated collection of international short films check out the Brattle Theatre at 6:30pm. 9 films, 8 of which we're interested in seeing. We think we'll take a restroom break and then get popcorn when the film below appears. It's only 14 minutes and sounds, well, a wee bit too dark for our happy HOTT Crew. The film description makes us rather glad we're not lesbians.

Mr Jetfoil

Sleek as a high-speed jetfoil skimming across tranquil seas our very handsome man displays his stunning good looks and finely crafted style aboard our train.

Location: Red Line at South Station
Imagined Profession: Commuter Travel Manager

Speaking of jetfoils, our HOTT Crew was in Gloucester yesterday as civic and business leaders unveiled an exciting new marine-related expansion into the tourism economy:

Jetfoil service from Gloucester to Provincetown begins Summer 2015! Gloucester's New Acting Mayor announced two major seasonal destinations will be served from Gloucester by New England's fastest ocean-going commuter craft, the Boeing 929 JetFoil.
Opening on-season Cape-to-Cape service (Cape Ann to Cape Cod) will expand marine business opportunities in Gloucester and dramatically reduce travel times from the North Shore, New Hampshire and Maine to Cape Cod's premier destination, Provincetown. And off-season jetfoils will provide commuter service to Boston's Long Wharf.

Two Boeing 929 JetFoils, acquired from Japan, travel at cruising speeds of 52MPH and will provide dock-to-dock Gloucester to Provincetown service in just 60 mins (45 mins less than Boston to Provincetown)! Gloucester to Boston service during off-season will be an amazing 30 minutes (over 30 minutes faster than commuter rail).

Gloucester civic leaders explained that the cod fishing ban has rendered harborside wharves empty, resulting in the opportunity to convert them into covered parking spaces for Cape-to-Cape JetFoil passengers, who will then board the JetFoil at St Peter's Square next to Cape Ann Brewery. Tally's Citgo across from St. Peters Square is being sold to Cape-to-Cape JetFoil and will be used for a new headquarters building and visitors welcome center.

Gloucester's New Acting Mayor described high-end commuter service to the Cape and Boston that will include:

  • Onboard gourmet catering from Beach Gourmet of Gloucester and Kung Fu Dumplings of Provincetown (including high-end wines and beers from Savour of Gloucester).
  • Indoor bike parking on the JetFoil for 50 bikes (additional bike space available atop the JetFoil).
  • Spacious airline style and club seating for 250 passengers.
  • Free high-speed WiFi.
  • Onboard Concierge service.

The New Acting Mayor expressed optimism that the Fort area of Gloucester would finally be able to pull it's own weight economically and contribute to the area economy. And special excitement was stated about establishing a reliable winter-time alternative to Commuter Rail for local residents to get to work in Boston. Additionally, word is that Toys of Eros Boutique will be among the first of Provincetown businesses to open a new locations in Gloucester on Main Street due to the additional visitor traffic.

All in all it's a promising rebirth of Gloucester's maritime tradition and a beacon of new investment and business opportunities on Cape Ann!

And last, but not least, check out our film recommendation for the day at the Boston LGBT Film Fest. We highly recommend Tab Hunter Confidential at 3:30pm!

A wealth of other films are available so check them out here:

My Other Brother Darryl

Replete with Canadian Camper Hat and genuine leather briefcase, our hottie shows in this challenging and historic winter that one can be bold and proud in in what one chooses to keep appropriately warm. And it's bold men such as our hottie who show us the way to surviving winter.

And although our HOTT Crew was in Gloucester this morning attending an important town announcement with local politicians and civic leaders, we rushed back to Boston for this afternoon's Boston LGBT Film Fest showing of...
Matter of fact, we're blogging live from the film right now (from the lobby) and it's wonderful! Why don't you join us at some of the remaining films this evening! A link is below detailing the multitude of fine films.

Fabulous Friday - We Like Our Men...

...like we like our whiskey. Aged and mellow!

Our fit and trim handsome man today knows his fine physique is as flattering to his clothes as his clothes are to him. Just look at how his gingham buttoned-down shirt fits seductively to his torso! And he wisely chooses a simple, classic, yet elegant plain black jacket that lets him segue from casual to formal with barely a change. We adore men who take care of themselves and dress well!

Speaking of aged and mellow, we'd like to introduce you to Catherine Russell, our HOTT Crew's favorite jazz singer. She performs "Aged and Mellow on her new album "Bring it Back" (below in video). We think you'll like her style.

And the lyrics for Aged and Mellow are delightful! Especially this part:

There's nothing a greenhorn can do for me
Cause my older daddy suits me to a T.
Now I like my men like I like my whiskey.
Oooh, aged and mellow!

And speaking of aged and mellow, our HOTT Crew highly recommends that you visit the Boston LGBT Film Fest's showing of Winning Dad at the Brattle Theatre in Harvard Square. Easy to get to, an entertaining film, and a wonderful outing for this fine Spring Weekend. See you there!
