It is with sadness that we mark the passing last night of Gilbert Baker, 65 years old, and the creator of the world-recognized Rainbow Flag.
Gilbert created the flag for the 1978 San Francisco Gay Freedom Day and it has spread across the globe as a symbol of freedom, hope and unity.
Wherever we travel in the world, when we see the Rainbow Flag we know we're home.
