What's in Your Easter Basket?

The Easter Bunny left this delicious morsel in our Easter basket! This golden haired hottie comes replete with 3/4 length finely tailored wool coat and an earth tone scarf that's the perfect compliment to his trousers.

Happy Easter!

Saturday Sensation

What a wonderful scene we had as we approached Kendall Station. This crisp and masculine hottie was an attention grabber as it was, but the red shoelaces made him pop before our very eyes. Reminded us of a confident look a self-made man would choose for himself. Fashionably trendy coat, immaculately groomed, and the shoe laces show that he wants you to know that his style is his own.

Fabulous Friday - It's A Good Friday!

It dawned on us this morning that it was a bit odd to have a Fabulous Friday title for a posting on Good Friday. And then, after thinking about it some more, we decided what the heck! Who are we to deprive you of fabulous men? So last night whilst (we love using the word "whilst"... it's so Downton Abbey!) traveling home from Maundy Thursday services we managed to arrange ourselves opposite this dashing gentleman so that we could get his pic. Stunningly handsome, impeccably dressed, and delightful demeanor. He just seemed so into everyone on the train!

And below we have a bonus pic taken by a good friend of our HOTT Crew. We call him "Biscuit". He flies around the country almost every week and has been inspired by us to try getting pictures of hotties at the airport. Here's a handsome fella he caught this morning at O'Hare Airport in Chicago. Good job, Biscuit! Maybe you can start a companion blog about flying hotties!

Yes, Your Honor

The Supreme Court has been at the forefront of the news this past week, and so have the attorneys involved in the cases on the court's docket. And just as we became enamored of red 2(x)ist long underwear after seeing our very own Nippy model them, we've become quite taken by all the hot attorney types outside the Supreme Court building.

So imagine our delight when we encountered this legal eagle attorney type on our commute! So formal and conservative in his dress, but we think the violet colored tie hints at a wild and adventurous type of man inside. Oh the legal places we could go with him!

Historical Hottie

We rather enjoy handsome historical men, and we certainly found one on our train ride to work today! And how fun to find a historical hottie on a potential historic day! Besides holding a copy of 1493 (a most fascinating book that we discussed at the HOTT Book Group last year), but he's wearing some of our favorite colors. The greenish khaki slacks, expertly fitted and the hunter green zip sweater with shawl color are divine. As is his charming smile. We want more!

Double Tuesday - Happy Hotties

Update April 5, 2013 at 10:05am: They're engaged!!!! Our HOTT Crew wishes this happy couple all the best in their upcoming life together!
__________________________________________

These two hot gents may be wearing black, the color of somberness, but they're nonetheless beaming with joy and happiness. As we've said before, we like happy hotties. Especially when they come in pairs!

Kudos to hottie on the left for showing some brilliant springtime green on the inside lining of his black jacket, and hottie on the right, for showing blushing color in his face. These guys were so much fun to travel with on the T!

Jack in the Box

When we stumbled upon this argyle clad hottie at our T station and heard him speaking to himself in Cantonese (our HOTT Crew is fluent in Cantonese, German, French and Icelandic), we realized we had a fourth installment for our "Jack" series of postings. You can click on the titles below to see the other posts in the Jack series.

The V-neck argyle sweater is a brilliant and welcome change from the sea of black North Face jackets, and the sling satchel fashionably slung across his chest indicates this busy gent finds time after work to get in a workout. And the haircut is simply exquisite. Not a hair out of place and perfectly sculpted... just like the hair of all the other Jacks we've featured.

And scroll down to see who's birthday our HOTT Crew is celebrating today!

Just Jack - A Sequel

Jack of All Trades

Today we're celebrating the birthday of Prince Albert Victor, GB's bike! Prince Albert Victor turns 3 years old today. We just wish it was as warm right now as it was at this same time 3 years ago.

Happy Birthday, Prince Albert Victor!

Perspectives

Oh the decisions our HOTT Crew has to make this morning! Do we go to Palm Sunday services at church or do we hop on our bikes for our first training ride for the season (we're signed up for Harbor to the Bay 2013)? We've decided to cover our bases and half of us are doing a training ride and the other half doing church... and then meeting up afterwards for bloody marys! It's all about keeping perspective on things.

Speaking of perspectives, we captured this hottie as he was reading from the Journal for Economic Perspectives (the article was about poverty and consumption). All we can say is that economists are hot! The dressy boat shoe-style loafers are lovely, and the socks he's paired with them absolutely luxurious. Stressed, but still serviceable for work, jeans, and quite the scarf! Matter of fact, our very own FT has exactly the same scarf! Our hottie is definitely a man of refined tastes!

These Boots Are Made for Walking

Walking through snow and slush, that is. It's supposed to be warmer, but we're grateful that this hottie was on our train today. Simply dressed. Prepared for the outdoors. And ready for the indoors, too!

And if you're wondering about how we deal with situations where a hottie we've featured wants his picture removed, you'll notice that instructions on how to initiate that process are prominently featured in the About Us section in the upper right section of this blog. In the 1 year and 1 month that this blog has been in existence, and been visited by almost 100,000 people, only 1 of our 417 hotties has requested his picture be removed. Additionally, three requests for pictures to be removed turned out to be from ex-girlfriends of hotties we featured (1 ex per hottie). Apparently they didn't like being jilted by their boyfriends, only to find out later that their now ex boyfriends were known throughout Boston as being hotties (The hotties in question were actually thrilled to have been featured!). And this morning we've been dealing with someone who appears to be a Roman Catholic priest masquerading as one of our featured hotties.

Life is rich. And we'll continue to only say nice things about our hotties as we enjoy featuring the good things about the people we encounter on the T.

And this article on expectations of privacy should be of interest to those who are unsure about what can legally be done with personal photos taken in public spaces: When Can Someone Post Photos of You Online?

Fabulous Friday - Hot and Smart

We love it when we find a hottie who knows how to combine the best attributes of his hotness with a dose of edification and refinement. Despite the fact that our hottie is wearing well-worn jeans, boots and a bomber jacket, lending an air of incredible down-to-earth sumptuousness, he nonetheless ratchets up the intellectual and edified look by tremendous amounts with just one accessory... his glasses. This is worth of close study (as our HOTT Crew members having been doing the past evening over Vesper Martinis)! The only thing that gives one the initial impression that this hottie is actually a gentleman of great intellectual prowess, a man of refinement and grace, is that one accouterment on his face: glasses.

Oh how we want to take him home!

Longings

We all have longings. Some have longings for things. Some have longings for a certain someone. And some have longings for a dose of Spring! But for what does this hottie above have longings? Could he be longing for warmer and dryer weather while wearing a sensational earth tone color jacket that's perfect for the unseasonably snowy weather we're currently having? We're eager to know the longings this hottie has!

Spring Has Sprung

It may be the first day of Spring, but outside it's a blanket of deep and heavy snow. How fortunate for us that the inside view was so much warmer! Here our hottie is lusciously enveloped in layers of handsome and warming winter wear, with delightful accents of greens and blues in his fastidiously perfect scarf.

Double Tuesday - How Far Away?

What a fun pair of hotties! And we couldn't help but wonder if these two might be using what our very own FTH describes as a "Dating App". You know, the kind that tells you how far away your potential "date" might be. We rather like the rough-and-tumble, yet polished look these two gents have. And both are quite different, yet complimentary to each other. One has styled hair, the other has a ski cap. One has bright red T-shirt and open jacket, the other is zipped completely up and even swathed around the neck for warmth. One has noticeably stressed jeans, the other regular jeans. Both, however, have their hands in their pockets.

We hope they found a date!

British Imperial Hottie

Have you ever gazed at a hottie and suddenly been transported to another era? We love it when it happens to us, as it did when we sat across from this striking gentleman. And the era into which we were transported? The British Empire of the 1930's. Our gentleman above is an officer in the military and is posted to one of His Majesty's far flung Crown Colonies. British Imperial Power is at its zenith, and our military hottie is all alone (except for his batman... like a footman but in the military). Our gentleman is oh so tall and daringly trim. And the wisp of his moustache, combined with the simple, yet slightly wavy hair, allude to an upbringing in the upper class. He looks elegant in a uniform, and a dinner jacket and bow tie, too! He's authoritative, confident, and so into us!

Top of the Mornin' to You!

Happy St. Paddy's Day! Today we bring you our Irish (appearing) hottie bedecked in brilliant and wide green plaid. This scruff-laden lad is right at the point where we begin to describe him a sportin' a beard. What's particularly intriguing to us are the perfectly sculpted eyebrows and how they match the meticulously trimmed moustache.

So what is the HOTT Crew doing for St. Patrick's Day? Well, as you can see below our very own Nippy (aka Pope Nippus) has prepared us a feast of a breakfast!
Nippy paid close attention to all the special classes and demonstrations being held at the Papal Conclave last week. Beside learning how to make the perfect "ex-Benedict" Nippy also learned how to make Papal Party Hats! So we're all sitting around the dining table eating our ex Benedict while wearing our homemade hats (instructions below... use newspaper the size of the New York Times)

Red Storm Rising

You've probably noticed that you can win our hearts by refraining from wearing a black North Face jacket. We just love the confidence and bright outlook, as well as the downright handsome and hot look, that a red jacket provides. And put a strikingly handsome man in a red jacket and we go weak in the knees. A storm may be rising on the horizon, but this hottie is more than prepared. His hairstyle even shows a confidence that no matter what is thrown his way he can overcome it. We love men in red!

Head Turner

We're so delighted that our Nippy (aka Pope Nippus) is back in town and back on the T taking pictures of hotties. And today's hottie is a head turner, not only in that one wants a second look at this guy, but in that one literally has to turn one's head (to the right) to get a normal view of him in this pic. We're especially impressed with his fine features and subtle use of color in his outfit and accoutrements. Well done!

Nippy. Nippus. Nipper!

Well, it's been quite the adventure, but alas our Nippy (aka Pope Nippus) failed to win the papal election. Seems he split the vote with Cardinal O'Malley and the Argentinian squeaked past them. And now we're departing Rome for our flight back to Boston (we'll get LOTS of plane pics we hope!) and thought this would be a good time to show a photo sent by one of our many fans. What caught our eye, after gazing at the incredibly happy and handsome hottie, was the dog that reminds us so much of Nipper. Who's Nipper? Why, the RCA dog! You know, the dog in the space craft at the entrance to Space Mountain at Walt Disney World Resort (from 1975-1989)?

Anyway, we thought both were quite fetching, and if Nippy (aka Nippus) were to have a dog we think a Nipper would be the perfect choice!

Of course, let's focus on our hottie. Elegantly swathed in a scarf of many colors, our hottie beams with joy. Even his eyes radiate happiness! And his outfit goes so well with "Nipper's" collar and leash!

Smoke Gets in Your Eyes

We are on pins and needles right now at St. Peter's Square in front of the Vatican as we await the puffs of white smoke that will signal our HOTT Crew Member Nippy has finally been elected Pope! Meanwhile we felt this hottie on the T had that scholarly look of a University Theologian. Stylish, yet conservative suit. A tie with patterns and stripes to add intrigue. And a blue and green plaid driving cap that lends an air of authority. We love authority! Especially the authority our dear Nippy (Dominus Nipus) will soon be exercising.

Meanwhile, to help you pass the time waiting for the next papal voting results we thought we'd bring you this very hunky priest (actually, he's now an Archbishop!) whom Nippy will keep as Personal Private Secretary to the Pope: His Delicious Eminence Georg Ganswein!

So Many Men...

...and so little time! Our apologies for a late posting but we've all been taking care of business matters. Work before play, you know. And in the past week two of our HOTT Crew members have accomplished the spectacular feat of capture not one, not two, but 3 and 4 hotties all together at one time!

Above we have such a masculine group of guys traveling together on the T. We're not quite sure how many of them actually know each other, but 3 of the 4 seem to be dressed very similar to each other, while the outlier on the right still features that casual out for the evening appearance.

Moustache Manship

Kissing a man without a moustache is like eating an egg without salt. Rudyard Kipling.

We have a fondness for men with manly moustaches. So elegant. So masculine. So.... kissable! And what a delight to travel with them on the T. The journey's seem shorter. The time spent on the train more enjoyable. It's like starting the day with a delicious cup of coffee. We're invigorated and inspired.

Fabulous Friday - Snow Bunny!

Update March 14 at 11:03: Seems our Snow Bunny has been discovered by his friends! Drop us a line at hottiesonthet@gmail.com and tell us more about him! And follow us on Twitter... @hottiesonthet
___________________________________________
We awoke this morning to find the snowstorm was raging more fierce than expected, and had a foot of snow on the ground at HOTT Headquarters. So imagine our delight when, after trudging through the blowing snow and drifts, we had this hot snow bunny climb aboard our train! The vibrancy of the colors of his Patrick Vallencante Degré 7 snowsuit lit up our Green Line train with sunshine and happiness. We suddenly had the irresistible urge to unzip his snowsuit and wrap our arms around him inside and give him a big snow bunny hug! And where could this hottie originate? We think he hails from outside New England as this outfit is just too bold, too confident, too fun! Perhaps he's from the French-speaking part of Switzerland!

We wish we had followed him off the train at Boylston so we could have had a snow party with him!

Snow Ninja

It's snowing heavily here in Boston and we love getting to see all the variations of winter attire that hot men show off on the T. And a first for our blog is the Snow Ninja! This hottie knows that if you're going to be a Snow Ninja during a winter storm you'll want to be seen, and what better way to be seen than to wear a bright red winter snow jacket! Rounding out the Snow Ninja theme is a balaclava made from the latest lightweight fabrics for protecting against extreme cold temperatures. All in all it's a fashionable, unique, and oddly rather hot get up for a day like today!

Ode to a Springlike Day

Our weather the past few days has been positively springlike. We've even seen some crocuses sprouting amidst the massive snow piles that still remain in the shaded areas. And what better way to celebrate springlike weather than to take in this gorgeous hottie!

We are, of course, fascinated with coats. And this handsome man wears a fashionable olive green quilted coat. We notice that the quilted coats are more of a fashion statement than Pea Coats, but less fashion forward than a Michelin Man Coat. We think this hottie's choice of a quilted coat is ideal, though, as it will stay in style far longer than the Michelin Man Coats. And look at the rich brown color of his lace-up shoes. It's an ideal color combination for his olive great coat and he softens the transition to his pants by choosing gray socks.

And then the beautiful face, the sumptuous hair, and the Foster Grant sunglasses make us feel as if we've been transported to Paris. Or Rome!

In our never ending quest to feature the latest technology we offer you Google Glasses Hottie! Captivated by our hottie's multilayer jacket and exquisite facial scruff we soon realized that there was something a bit different about this gent. Was it the way his bangs were cut and hung over his forehead? Was it his deep brown eyes that matched the color of his jacket? No, we realized. He was wearing Google Glasses! How hot is that?!?!

Stylin' on the T

Update March 13 @ 11:42pm - Seems our stylin' fellow has been discovered by his friends! Drop us a line at hottiesonthet@gmail.com and tell us more about him! And follow us on Twitter: @hottiesonthet
______________________
We're rather fascinated with the latest style of coats, what we call Michelin Man Coats. We don't think they'll ever be as common as Pea Coats, though, because a Michelin Man Coat can only be appropriately be effectively worn by a much smaller subset of men. And this particular hottie takes the high style of a Michelin Man Coat to a whole new level by ensuring that all elements of his clothing match the fashion-forward elements of his coat.

Starting from the bottom we find a granite gray green (please realize these color descriptions are difficult for GB as he's color blind) sling satchel slung cleverly over his knee, which matches the almost identical color of his pants. Poised between his trim knees are hands encased in Mitten Gloves, a fashion which has taken Allston by storm, and which feature the de rigeur position of the mitten finger coverings (pulled back). And then, of course, the coat. A violet blue Michelin Man Coat with brilliant red zipper highlights and a hair style that reaches for the ceiling of the train. This hottie is stylin'!

Sunday Brunch

While Nippy, our candidate for Pope, was at King Edward VII hospital in London visiting HM Queen Elizabeth II, and wishing her a speedy recovery, the rest of us were on the T on our way to church when we encountered this "brunch hottie". And this handsome fellow knows how to make a commonplace black North Face jacket light up with style! A very handsome red plaid scarf is the perfect accessory (both in form and in color) to make the clothes match the man. And what a standout man he is!

Leather Bound

We're aficionados of men who have genuine leather satchels. The rich smell of leather, the suppleness of the flap as it bends over the main body of the bag. The gentleness with which the leather straps drape over the shoulder. But today's hottie impresses us with far more than his leather satchel! Just look at the iPad and how he holds it by using the steel gray SmartCover. The shawl collar on his pale blue sweater. The worn jeans worn well. And the scruff combined with sculpted, yet natural appearing hair. Oh how this hottie got our attention!

Fabulous Friday - Standing Out

This hottie reminded us of what Mark Zuckerberg would look like if he polished himself up a bit (ditched the hoodies and T-shirts). While Mark Zuckerberg stands out because he has a net worth of tens of billions of dollars (according to Forbes magazine), our hottie stands out because he's incredibly handsome and well-dressed. Our gent today also shows that the trend for wearing an Oxford-style shirt with tails untucked is best suited for trim in-shape men such as our man above.

And as part of our "year ago today" series we offer these two posts from March 1, 2012. Click on the name of the post for your trip back in time:
