Leaving on a Jet Plane

So kiss me and smile for me.
Tell me that you'll wait for me.
Hold me like you'll never let me go. '
Cause I'm leaving' on a jet plane.

We don't ride the T to the airport often enough. As our HOTT Crew arrived in Boston from our whirlwind trip to Orlando last night we encountered this impeccably dressed man as we all waited for the arrival of the T. What a welcome arrival for us!

Vintage

Vintage red gingham with a gray T underneath let's our hottie's classic good looks shine through! We like it when men accessorize by clipping their sunglasses in their shirts.

Speaking of vintage, our HOTT Crew's friend Dodie reserved the Chef's Room at Orlando's famous Le Coq au Vin restaurant and treated all her many friends to fabulous cuisine and stunning wines (We appreciated that Le Coq au Vin's wine list vintages matched the vintage of the bottles served, unlike at Boston restaurants.).

And it was at the culmination of the fabulous meal that Dodie announced that she and Lola will be Grand Marshalls for the Orlando Pride Parade October 10! This will necessitate some rescheduling for everyone as Dodie and Lola will be filming their TV show in Italy and France (our HOTT Crew will be there, too), and then flying straight from Europe to Florida for Orlando Pride. We're looking forward to it.

Tropical Reds

Our hottie looks smashing in tropical reds, and what an appropriate style as our HOTT Crew is in Orlando, FL this weekend celebrating our friend Dodie's birthday weekend. Our friend Lola couldn't make it as she's somewhere off the coast of Iceland in the Miss Trish II as she and her ice-encapsulated car are on their way to France.
Above we fly past downtown Orlando and Dodie's waterfront mansion on Lake Cherokee.
And Dodie surprised us with a new purchase... an art deco apartment building (built in 1935) overlooking her neighboring Lake Lucerne! Dodie treasures her privacy and wanted a place where her many adoring friends could stay. It's an amazing place with incredibly lush tropical gardens. We're looking forward to visiting during winter!

His Name is Hunter

Hotter than hot and studious as an Ivy League student, our very handsome man shows poise, polish and the desire to pursue excellence. We think his name is Hunter, and continue reading below to see why.

Our HOTT Crew grew up in the disparate yet affluential parts of our nation. Places such as Wellesley, Haddonfield, NJ, Atlanta (Buckhead), GA and Bloomfield Hills, MI. Well off, yes even overprivileged was our lifestyle. Yet we grew into the fashionable and au courant men that we are today. So we were stunned to see art imitate life in the newest Back-to-School advertisements by Old Navy. WE are the adorable boy in the ad named Hunter. We lived his life. We feel his pain and yearnings.
All we can say, Hunter, it gets better."

Things That Make BosGuy Go Hmm

We wonder if our hottie is a fan of BosGuy's blog? If so, and if he strolled down Newbury Street as our HOTT Crew did, he might also be thinking to himself, "hmmmm" upon seeing the sign below. It certainly had us wondering who on earth might be working at Tommy Bahama's marketing department. We enjoy reading BosGuy's blog and invite you to click the link to it over there (===>) on the right.

Meanwhile, our gent above looks marvelous in his black V=necked T-shirt which fits his lithe and lean frame so well.
Our HOTT Crew was most amused as we strolled down Newbury Street to see the sign above. To paraphrase Dr. Seuss, "Oh the places we could go!".

Just Jack and The Preppy Handbook

Our famous Just Jack series continues with this hottie displaying absolute perfection with every element of his attire. We're sure he must be a fixture on the cocktail circuit in the South End or equally at home on waterfront decks in Provincetown overlooking Cape Cod Bay. The look is pure New England Summer.

Double Tuesday - Marx Meets Murray's

Marxism meets the movies and pop culture as our hottie on the left wears a "Viva La Evolucion" T-shirt with an iconic Planet of the Apes character dressed as Che Guevara. Meanwhile his seat mate wears classic New England prep wear with his sockless shoes, Nantucket Red shorts from Murray's and a powder blue Polo shirt.

It's not easy to find 2 men so contrastingly dressed, yet also so appropriately dressed for the Peoples Republic of Cambridge!

Simple Pleasures

It's the simple pleasures we adore, and the men with simple yet handsome tastes in style and demeanor. Such as the hot man above. Shorts. T-shirt. Simplicity. Delightful.

Another of our HOTT Crew's simple pleasures is entertaining friends with delicious and creative food. This past weekend our we entertained at our HOTT Headquarters and thought we'd share a delicious recipe we created (below):
We love Maryland-style crab cakes with fresh crabmeat. Above we display our crab cakes on our heirloom picnic table. We think these are delicious and our recipe is so simple:

Ingredients: 1 cup corn flakes (crushed into crumbly powder), splash of milk, 1 tbsp mayonnaise, 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 lb fresh lump crabmeat, 1 tbsp baking powder, 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning (found in seafood section of grocery), 1/4 tsp salt. 1 egg (beaten), olive oil for frying), lemon wedges (for garnish).

Directions: Put corn flake powder in bowl and add a splash of milk to make a loose consistency. Stir in mayonnaise and Worcestershire sauce. Then stir in crabmeat, baking powder Old Bay seasoning, salt and egg until thoroughly combined. Shape into patties, then chill in refrigerator for 40 minutes. Then heat 1/4 inch olive oil in skillet on medium heat and pan-fry until golden on exterior (about 3 minutes each side).

Enjoy!

The Iceman Cometh

Steely cool eyes and a Brookline Ice Company T-shirt lead us to imagine our hottie being one sharp and successful salesman. Traveling up and down the Red Line our handsome man possibly keeps up with all of his accounts by offering the finest of ice luges. But can he craft an ice block that encapsulates an entire car the way Cape Pond Ice did with our friend Lola's high performance sports car.

Fabulous Friday - Coordinated Color

Tempting in his Topsiders, our handsome and fit man shows not only the proper color combinations to wear for summer, but also the appropriate style.

Note that our hottie obeys our HOTT Crews' Summer Fashion Rule #1: No cargo shorts on men over 25 years of age.

Summer Fashion Rule #2: Don't let Nantucket Reds dominate your shorts wardrobe. Mix it up with pale lemony pastel yellows and also some blue seersucker shorts.

Summer Fashion Rule #3: Navy Blue and Carolina Blue are a stunning combination when the Navy is worn beneath the Carolina Blue. As this handsome fellow above does!

Summer Fashion Rule #4: Top off your outfit with stylish and sporty sunglasses. They'll protect your eyes from harmful UV rays, allow you to surreptitiously scope out nearby hotties, and you'll look fabulous in the process!

And don't forget, Summer isn't just about seeing more, it's about becoming more. Help out our friends at Warwick Rowers as they very creatively raise money and awareness in standing up to homophobia.

Row, Row, Row Your Boat

The @Naked_Rowers are back! Our HOTT Crew loves it when sexy men raise money to fight homophobia. And the University of Warwick Rowers are once again ready to make a splash with their newest calendar and coffee table book! We'll be buying these for Christmas presents for our friends Dodie and Lola!

We think you'll LOVE the video the Warwick Rowers just made!

Jet Pilot!

Our hottie pilot has the look of experience. It probably comes from watching the weather through all the seven skies over all the seven seas - year in and year out.

It's the look you want in your pilot when you fly overseas. And it's one great reason why more people choose American Airlines when they fly overseas.

Our HOTT Crew felt safe and secure with our gentleman jet pilot aboard our train, and had the irresistible urge to hop on his jet and fly to the far corners of the globe with him!

He's American Airlines, doing what he does best!

Colorama

Waves of brilliant colors bathed our hottie in glorious goodness as we awaited our inbound train. The brilliant blues and royal purples, cleverly accentuated with the handle of a tennis racquet poking up from his day pack, gave a brilliant boost to our morning commute. Bravo, Colorama Hottie!

Speaking of color...
Our HOTT Crew was invited by Shake Shack to experience their new Surf Shack Burger, a burger topped with the freshest of Maine Lobster meat (available only in New England, of course). What joy, what ecstasy, what food nirvana! It was simply amazing! Our HOTT Crew recommends you pair the Surf Shack Burger with ShackMeister Ale on draft. A stunning combination. Beef + Lobster, how can you go wrong with that!

Have you noticed how handsome furry-chested men look when wearing gingham shirts? See the enlargement below. FT and GB were captivated by our ginghamed man's furry chest, and he was such a nice compliment to the attractive bespectacled gentleman to his right. What a marvelous find on a Double Tuesday!

Summertime...

...an' the livin' is easy! What a handsome fellow on a very hot morn. His blue and green patterned shirt is perfect for blazing summer days, and the coif of his hair is stylish, fashion-forward and just right for humid days. We especially enjoyed his stylish sunglasses frames with the smokey blue tint of the lenses. Perfection!

Of course, our title of today's post is from the classic song in Porgy & Bess, set in the deep South on a sultry Summer day. Take a listen to this video performance of Summertime by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong. Notice how the song and the words almost make you feel the heat and humidity.

This is Boston. These are our men. These are their stories. The L.L.Bean wrinkle-resistant buttoned-down shirt, blue jeans with phone fade (notice the fade on his right pocket in the shape of his iPhone), and tasteful, stylish, yet functional glasses. Pee-Wee's Playhouse

The grey checked skinny-fit 130S wool suit by Canali ($2,450), the white Original Achilles leather sneakers from Mr. Porter ($400), the very slimline Toscanini Bow Tie from Beau Ties Ltd ($45) and the slick-backed hair are pure Pee Wee! And we have to say this gent has been rocking the au courant look long before skinny-fit suits became the rage. Now if only we could figure out today's Secret Word!

Time Traveler

Sometimes we find men with extraordinary accessories. Today we found such a man wearing this stunning watch. More precisely, a Jacques Lemans Geneve Chronograph Stainless Steel Watch with a retail price of $2,000!

The 40mm diameter stainless steel case is 11mm thick, and the brushed stainless steel bracelet measures 8.5 inches long and is quite attractive with its alternate plain and shiny parts. Of course, the three sub-dials showing 60 second, 30 minute and 1/10 of a second is quite useful, as is the water resistance up to 150 meters. And the optional black dial is very attractive with the outfit worn by our hottie. Oh, you haven't seen the stunning man wearing the $2,000 watch?

Here he is!
The cut, the fabric, the pinstriped black suit coat with unmatching black stonewashed jeans and black striped shirt perfectly match the Ray Ban sunglasses. What a find!

Sit Back, Relax, and...

...enjoy the ride! Our hottie today is one of the rare occasions when we post a pic submitted by one of our fans. And what fans we are of the gentleman who captured this stunning hottie illuminated by the rays of the setting sun on his way home from work. What beauty, what perfection, what a find!

And we've finally heard from our HOTT Crew's friend Lola! Lola is on Cape Pond Ice's maiden voyage of it's experiment in shipping autos to Europe encased in ice. From the video below we gather Lola is having a rather rough time of it.
We received a brief video chat with Lola this morning who reported heavy rolling seas off the coast of Newfoundland. Lola's high performance sports car is doing well, but we're not so sure about Lola herself. She's with the New Acting Mayor of Gloucester and the last transmission we got was, "Who will rid me of this meddlesome Acting May..." and then the connection went dead.

Hooray for Hollywood!

Right out of a Hollywood Soundstage our fascinating gentleman wears oh so perfect vintage 1950's style flip sunglasses. They go perfect with his Provincetown International Film Festival briefcase! Could our gent be a film director or producer? Or is he perhaps a wealthy donor to the Provincetown Film Festival (be still our hearts... he could be our new wealthy boyfriend!)? If the story of this charming man's life was told in a film trailer what would the trailer look like? Food for thought.

Sizzling

Hurtling through Harvard Square on this sizzling Saturday afternoon we were in rapt attention to the hottie next to us. Cool blue shirt, deep crimson shorts, and a magnificently shaved head all served to keep our minds of the heat and instead stay focused on the hottie!

And our HOTT Crew friend Lola Matisse set sail today from Gloucester aboard the Miss Trish II as she embarks on Cape Pond Ice's newest experiment: frozen trans-Atlantic auto shipments! Lola's high performance vehicle is encased in a huge hollow rectangular hunk of ice (Cape Pond Ice says it's the world's largest ice cube made for commercial use!). The exterior and interior of the cube are lined with styrofoam, providing massive insulation and superior auto protection. Lola discovered upon arrival that the New Acting Mayor of Gloucester would be joining her for this month-long maiden voyage! We hope the larder is well stocked and are sure the two of them will have a magnificent time together. We'll give you updates on Lola's voyage to France whenever she communicates with us via satellite uplink.
