Fabulous Friday - Deja Vu
As he boarded our train and walked right up to us a wave of remembrance swept through our bodies. Could we be having a close encounter with one of our Top 10 Hotties of all time? Fortunately the roar of the piston engines of our Pan Am Stratocruiser drowned out our heavy breathing and pounding hearts. An insatiable thirst for one of our famous Vesper Martinis hit us like a strong wind on canyon spanning bridge.
Could this be the same man? Check on the link below and see for yourself. We must confess we've been spending hours soaking in the handsomeness of our hottie!
And if this is the same hottie will he be the first man to make it into our Top 10 twice?

When the Saints Go Marching In
We love crisp sunny days (well, 39F is a bit too cool) and men in bow ties, and how appropriate for today that we have a special treat with a bow-tied hottie on Harvard Commencement Day 2014! And we had another special treat when the Harvard Class of 2014 processed past our HOTT Headquarters at Harvard Square with a Dixieland band leading the way playing When the Saints Go Marching In. We must commend our hottie for the skill he exhibits with his bow tie. Notice how it's flared and a bit uneven. That's the hallmark of a bow tie tied well! And the patterns of the tie serve as such a nice compliment to the solid colors of his shirt and sport coat.
Congratulations Harvard Class of 2014!

What a wonderful package of handsomeness on our train! He rather reminds us of the handsome young men that wait on us at the Eastern Point Yacht Club on Cape Ann. Well dressed, stylish, fit. As we rode into work we imagined him tying up our T train to the platform at every stop... just as the handsome lads do to our boat when we tie up at the dock.

Double Tuesday - Men in Green
We love men who dare to wear colors other than black. And these chilly mornings allowed us the chance to spot these two dashing men in shades of green! All around a very nice color combination going on with each of these handsome gents. Hottie on the left sports a magnificent stache and hottie on the right pushes our buttons by wearing a North Face jacket that's in an olive'ish green. And GB and FT realized just before click the "publish" button for this post that their reflections were in the train window. Good thing we caught that and remembered to blur out their reflections!

Pondering
Our hottie today reflects on the many things one reflects upon on a Memorial Day. Perhaps about friends to meet to enjoy the day, or where he'll be dining? Maybe even about the many sacrifices made for us as we enjoy our bountiful blessings.
Happy Memorial Day!

Our First Restaurant Review!
Turner's Seafood of Salem. Worst restaurant of the new millennium. Yes, it was that bad. We don't normally write reviews, but our experience at Turner's Seafood was so poor that we felt we should at least give our readers a heads up.
Being aficionados of oysters our first inkling that things were going to go awry should have been the big black-board in the restaurant listing the specialty oysters available. It didn't make sense as the origin and the variety didn't match. If we ordered the oysters would we get the variety we wanted, or should we order by origin to get what we want? A guessing game with oysters! When we pointed it out to the person behind the market counter he replied, "Oh yes, it's wrong". We should have left.
But no, we waited for our table, ordered our wine, only to be served the wrong (cheaper) wine from what we ordered. Our waiter made a befuddled attempt at figuring out what went wrong and then replaced the drinks. Then took the dinner order for 2 of our party of 3 (completely forgetting to take the order of GB who was right next to the waiter).
40 minutes later our food arrived. Well, it wasn't really what we ordered. 2 of the dishes were not prepared as ordered (and we suspect that the 3rd dish was also not what was advertised in the menu), most egregiously the baked seafood platter brimming with heavily fried seafood. Turns out our befuddled waiter entered the order incorrectly. As it would be awhile before GB's dish was replaced, and the other 2 had to eat their entrees, our waiter offered GB a dessert to eat. Before the entree. And GB wasn't even going to order a dessert.
The coup de grace was when the "baked seafood platter" arrived (scallops, scrod and shrimp) with a paltry amount of food. So paltry that GB couldn't initially find the scrod. Which was due to the scrod filet literally being the size of GB's pinky and deep under a broth concoction. It was drowning! The resemblance was akin to a cup of seafood chowder and nothing like a baked seafood platter. It simply was inedible.
But it gets better! We politely asked to speak to the "top manager" in charge to explain the many problems we were encountering and out came Charlene, who we can only say was dismissive, argumentative, and most unwilling to make things right. The nerve of us to question someone who claims to have worked for Turner's Seafood for 16 years! And we should be pleased that we only had to pay just over $100 to walk out of the restaurant!
As one restaurant patron said of her meal, "It was bad, and a lot of it".
We notice that the Executive Chef of the restaurant, Yale Woodson, proclaims on the web site,
"Our team selectively sources and prepares food to please the full range of the senses, stimulating, and striving to create a memorable seafood dining experience… every visit, every time".
If that's what it's like every time then we are grateful for the warning.
And as GB didn't get dinner what did he do for food?
Check out his rather delicious dinner below, procured from 7-11 of Gloucester (ironically around the corner from a Turner's Seafoods market). A delightful chicken parmesan sandwich with luscious chocolaty milk. Finally, a decent meal! And we'll have our usual posting later this morning!

Blue Boy
GB has a particular fondness for blue as he's color blind, and blue is an easy-to-identify color. We wonder if our handsome man above is also colorblind as he seems to prefer shades of blue. We must say that it's a stunning selection for him, and we like the casual yet sophisticated look.

South By Southwest
Our hottie has that distinctive techie style of the American Southwest. The style of trendy men in places like Austin and Santa Fe. The muted purple is an amazing contrast to the navy blue sling satchel. And the Otterbox iPhone case is a nice touch, especially with its hints of orange.

Fabulous Friday - Ivy Style
We love graduation season when all the snappily dressed men from Connecticut descend upon the T. There's a joy the upper class get when they successfully navigate mass transit. The Lexus SUVs get parked safely at home, they get to ride to their destination a la the 99%. The excitement, the adventure, the anthropological discoveries! (Seems our man is actually from the midwest!)
The observational opportunities for us plebeian passengers are quite fun, too. It's not often we get such close up profile views of homo sapien greenwichensis.

Throwback Thursday - Thanks for the Memories!
Our hottie is equally at home swinging a club on the golf course as he is swinging on the overhead handrail of a subway train. And what an homage to our great American icon Bob Hope, known for his enduring support of our troops, as we lead up to this Memorial Day Weekend. He even has the same hat and same ski-slope nose! Our gent sort of reminds us of a fellow we know from church. And to see how well our handsome hottie mirrors Bob Hope just look at the picture below of Bob himself!

I Spy
We captured this business attired hottie and were rather struck that the interior lighting and atmosphere of our train mimicked the interior of a quintessentially "IBM" office environment. Exactly the kind of office for which our hottie is dressed! Our gentleman's brilliant white dress shirt and black tie are the perfect accompaniment to the severe glare of the overhead neon lights and paneled ceiling.

Double Tuesday - Color Pair
These two hotties simply pop with brilliance on our train! If you know anything about color theory then you know that orange and navy are complimentary colors. Complimentary pairs are opposites on the color wheel and they really pop when they come together. Do these two fine looking men realize their choice in color and proximity are drawing admiring gazes from their fellow passengers? They will if they discover themselves on this post!

Magnificent Monday
Lord have mercy! After navigating our way through a thick haze of pollen we stumbled upon this gorgeous man! Where should we start? Well, the pairing of the coat's fine casual fabric with deliciously cut blue jeans (that had lovely cuffs at the bottom) was an inspiration, as was the pocket square deftly arrayed in his coat! The vertical stripes of the shirt accentuate the impossibly slim stomach. And the tailored fit of the shirt hides what we can only imagine is a delightfully toned 6-pack of abs. All in all a most welcome encounter on our commute!

Ode how we love this hottie. Let us count the ways. The thick and tousled auburn hair with highlights of golden fleece. The ruddy complexion accentuated by finely curated (yes, curated) eyebrows. And the elegantly well-fitted body clinging and satiny smooth long-sleeved T. A model of perfection for this fabulous Friday!

Double Tuesday - Buttons and Bags
A little something for everyone today! Hottie on the right has bedecked his Manhattan sling satchel (nice satchel, by the way!) with a plethora of buttons. What we find interesting is the buttons being lined up in neat, orderly rows. A copy of the New Yorker and a cup of joe and our man is ready to take on the day! Hottie on the left mirrors his neighboring hottie, but with a completely different take on fashion. A backpack replaces his friend's tote bag, an iPhone holds his news content (as opposed to his neighbor's magazine) and the hair is wildly luscious and stylish in an unconventional way. Opposites attract!

Sensation Sunday - Close to You
Our golden boy truly has golden hued hair accentuated by gold rimmed Ray Ban Aviator frames perched upon his head, and a gold wedding band on his finger (bummer). And green jacket with blue piping is utterly adorable with his theme of gold. It all reminds us of a song long before our time, "Close to You". Dodie and Mave remember it, though. Vaguely.
On the day that you were born the angels got together,
and decided to create a dream come true.
So, they sprinkled moon dust in your hair of gold,
and starlight in your eyes of blue.

Videos of flash mobs at engagements and weddings are a dime a dozen these days, as are videos of couples drawing their relationship. Yet the videos that always stand out, that still entertain and inspire despite the over saturated genre, have one thing in common. Like the video below, the moving and impressive commonality of the cream of the crop is the natural incorporation of parents and siblings and very close friends. Because that's what a relationship is all about. Now matter how cute a couple is it's not just about just two. It's about many. And these guys below get it right.
