Fabulous Friday - Ginger Ale vs. 7-Up

A stunning recipe of hotness to kick off a stunning weekend, and his gingered good looks are up close for all to enjoy! The soulful eyes and nattily trimmed beard and moustache provide a delightful celebration of handsomeness on our train. We love ginger men!

And with a fabulous weekend coming up it's the perfect time to make a quintessentially summery dessert for an outdoor picnic. And our ginger gentlemen above reminds us that a 7-Up Pound Cake (Ginger Ale is a perfectly fine substitute) would be ideal for that picnic on the Esplanade or Boston Common. Here's our HOTT Crew's recipe for 7-Up Pound Cake:

Hotties on the T 7-Up Pound Cake
Note: Bring all ingredients slowly to room temperature before mixing. This takes hours.

Ingredients:
3 sticks butter
3 cups cake flour
3 cups sugar
5 eggs
1/2 cup 7-Up soda
1 tbsp lemon extract
1 tbsp vanilla extract

Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a standard-sized bundt or tube pan. Thoroughly and slowly.

In a mixer beat softened butter and 3 cups sugar together until light and fluffy and pale. Don't rush this part - you need a decent amount of air incorporated. Add 5 eggs, and beat to combine. With a rubber spatula, gently fold in the flour one cup at a time. Avoid beating the batter energetically at this point because that will just activate the gluten and make the cake tough. After all the flour is incorporated, gently stir in the 7-Up (or Ginger Ale if you like our hottie above!) and the flavorings.

Pour mixture into prepared pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Check it after the first hour. Surf through some previous posts of Hotties on the T while listening to iTunes Radio and post a link to our blog on your Facebook timeline while the cake is in the oven. It's done when the toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Cool and then invert onto serving plate. Do not ride the T with this cake until is has completely cooled.

Blue Boy

It's hot and sultry outside, and so is our hottie in the station! Gorgeous hirsute calves, stunning fit of the shorts, and enticing beard. What a stunner! And on the Green Line, no less!
And we also captured this hottie today bedecked in Red, White & Blue so that he could cheer on the USA in today's World Cup game against Germany. Our HOTT Crew will be hosting viewing parties in our respective offices today. Go USA!

Double Tuesday - Singularity

Our duo of handsome businessmen and style add grace to our train. And although traveling separately they blend like watercolors to form one lasting impression.
But wait! We have individual pics of our hotties, too! Fit, trim and ready for a photoshoot in the workplace, our hottie above displays a youthful yet highly professional look for the office.
And this hottie above takes it to the more traditional workplace attire with a perfectly tailored sport coat and an incredibly well groomed head of hair.

Our hottie is fresh as a daisy and ready to take on the week. And what better way to spend one's time on a Monday morning commute than digging into a good book!

And to brighten up your day we thought we'd share this ray-of-sunshine hottie in of flowers. We discovered the photo from Guys With Glasses blog, a favorite of ours!

Summer Freedom

Are you ready for a hot cyclist? Well our HOTT Crew pedaled their behinds off to get you this handsome velo enthusiast! We boarded the Commuter Rail to Newburyport for what we thought would be an ordinary ride. But then this stunning gent boarded our train and we just had to follow him. Everywhere! From Newburyport he took off like a streak of lightning towards Ipswich and Essex. Blazing trails up hilltops, putting the pedal to the metal on the flat straightways, and leaving us utterly exhausted! We finally had to call it quits at the Cape Ann Brewpub after following him for 53 miles! What a workout!

Hotties on the Sea - Men Overboard!

Our HOTT Crew had a wonderful Summer Sunset Cruise aboard the Provincetown II. Many thanks to Boston Spirit Magazine, Bay State Cruises and Summer Shack who graciously sponsored the event so that all proceeds could go to benefit Fenway Health. Here's a look at our exciting cruise!
We knew things were looking good when we encountered these two hotties walking to the check-in desk. And then they conveniently turned around so that we could also get full frontal views!
The sun was brilliant, as were the hordes of handsome gents aboard the S.S. Hotties on the T!
These happy fellows above we nicknamed The Flying Dutchmen because they were as tall as Dutch men and we'd fly anywhere to be with them! Go ahead, fondle our pecs again, guys!
More nicknamed men ahoy! The Pink Crusader (above left) showed brilliant ingenuity in being fashion forward while simultaneously making sure that he could be easily spotted if tossed overboard. Meanwhile, above right, Altar Boy Meets Size Queen seems to be enjoying getting a proper fitting!
As the sun lowers on the horizon we encountered this gaggle of goodies.
It was a magical sunset.
Even the boys from Harvard Business School were impressed. And impressive, too!
We like the return of shorter hemlines, especially against the backdrop of a setting sun.
All in all a fabulous evening capped with a magical sunset. Bravo!

V-necked Vagabond

Stay tuned today for a special edition featuring yesterday's Hotties on the T Cruise. We have a bevy of bodacious hunks to show you!

Many many men can pull off the V-necked T-shirt as well as today's hottie. Here form truly does meet function. And what fun we had playing with the Finger Focus app as we accentuated our hottie's attributes! And to where might our gentleman be traveling?

Paisley Prince

We couldn't believe our eyes. A man wearing luscious rich purple paisley! We haven't seen such fine paisley prints since the early 90s (when we were young'ns, yet fashion aware). Our gent's goatee is divine, and he displays his politeness by deftly blocking the face of the woman next to him with his arm so that we wouldn't have to blur away her visage from our post!
And we hope you'll join our HOTT Crew aboard the S.S. Hotties on the T this evening. The event is the Fenway Health Summer Sunset Cruise and all proceeds go to benefit Fenway Health. Click on this link to buy your ticket, and who knows, we might just get your pic and feature you on our blog!

Double Tuesday - Tasty Treat

Dunkin' Donuts isn't just a good place for a hot cup of coffee, it's also a great place to find some mouthwateringly delicious hot men! And here we have two hotties, one looking up and one looking down, entertaining our senses as we await our train home.

And not sure what jogs our mind to this factoid for you, but the Boston Cream Doughnut just happens to be the Official Doughnut of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts!

Mondays never get us down. We're too much fun and full of vim, vigor and vitality to let a name of a day of the week mire us in despair. And our hottie above seems to share that sentiment with us. Grooming Extraordinaire

It's our daily hottie AND a review of @Abbey2Cambridge for you. Our hottie today epitomizes how a man can magnificently groom his facial hair. Neatly sculpted as a dry martini. Expertly crafted trimming as one finds in a high-end vodka. And the hair on his head... truly we tell you, unlike a martini, on this gentleman hottie less is more!

Speaking of fine cocktails and fabulous men, it reminds us that GB and FT on Saturday experienced a new restaurant near HOTT Headquarters in Cambridge. They highly recommend The Abbey (1755 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge) located between Harvard Square and Porter Square. The steak frites were superb, the brussel sprouts an inspiration, and their waiter Kevin was not only cute as a button but also highly professional, engaging, and quite proud of the food and wines. We adore dining at restaurants that are well-run and proud of their craft. So check out The Abbey!

And the guy in the red shorts is most impressive, too!

Happy Pride!

We wound up at @WheelworksBikes on a day when we typically are partaking in the revery downtown. You see, we were deep in the hunt for a replacement for Prince Albert Victor, Duke of Clarence and Avondale (aka GB's bike) who was stolen yesterday. But in our travels to the official bike shop of Hotties on the T (Wheelworks) we did manage to get a pic of this handsome young fellow above! He's the epitome of Pride... coiffed hair, perfectly pressed T-shirt, and skin so smooth you can tell he uses quality skin care products.
Here we are at Wheelworks. Who knew there was a shortage of bikes?!?! But we found the proper replacement for GB's bike. And we're pleased to present to you GB's new bike (below) and it's name: Prince William, Duke of Cambridge.

Fabulous Friday - Wanted: Dead or Alive

We're grateful for this delightful hottie in delicious warm weather attire. He's the kind of man who inspires us to go out and relentlessly track down the low-life scoundrel who stole GB's bike (below) from HOTT Headquarters at Car Talk Plaza! As God is our witness as we take pictures of stunningly handsome men, we will bring the perpetrator to justice!

And if you happen to see the bike below, which answers to the name "Prince Albert Victor, Duke of Clarence and Avondale", please let us know! It's a 2010 Specialized Secteur Comp Compact.

Double Tuesday - The Graduates

The exams have been aced. Commencement weekend has come to an end. And now our young graduated hotties have entered "the real world" and are dressed for success. The dark suit and Carolina Blue in the tie are a wonderful way to both fit in and stand out. And hottie on the far right has a tasteful blue coat enhanced by the very Spring and very popular color,  radiant orchid.

Well done, gentlemen!

Seeing Red

The color red is never neutral. It's the color of birth. In fact, it may have been the first color ever - the color of the primal bang from which the universe began. The poet and monk John O'Donohue has observed that it's both the color that flows in the darkness beneath our skins and the color - "a wild fire-dance of red magma" that flows far beneath our feet, under ground that is "only vaguely solid." - The Rev. Patrick C. Ward

The thought provoking words above help us find a lens through which we can better appreciate this handsome gent's picture. Look carefully at all the colors in this picture. Green, blue, yellow and black. Earth tones, whites and grays. And our hottie's red t-shirt, red jacket, and red day pack provide a foundation for everything that's in view. His red attire illuminates him, yet we find ourselves drawn by his red attire to gaze beyond. It provokes us to imagine what else is out there that we don't yet, or may never, actually see. And the color red is a tip for us that it exists whether we see it or not.

So today we're going to follow this hottie's lead. We're going to wear red and open ourselves to the unfathomable that surrounds us. Why don't you wear red today, too? After all, it's the first color ever!

Sensational Saturday!

What a glorious day! What a glorious hottie! It's hard to believe that when we took this pic just a couple of days ago it was damp and cold. But like the brilliant good looks of our hottie the sun has come out streaming its healing rays upon us. And we took the opportunity to hop on our bikes for a modest 45 mile ride through our historic region.

And we also were thrilled to see cyclists (below) from the Bike and Build 2014 program offering to pump up cyclists' tires (tyres for our readers beyond the seas) on the Minuteman Bikeway in exchange for donations to their program. Bike and Build is a group of young adult cyclists pedaling for affordable housing in America, and though we didn't need air in our tires we nonetheless donated money. Through the Looking Glass

We don't just look for hotties inside our train, we also keep our eye out for hotties on the platform. And here we couldn't resist getting these two gents' pics while our train departed the station. They apparently thought there wasn't room for them in our train, but we would have squeezed them in!

And our friend Biscuit found this pic that pretty much sums up the lengths we go to get pics of hotties.
