Live From First Night - The Close of a Year

It may be the end of the year, but it's not the end of us capturing hotties on the T. Here we have a trim athletic fellow ready for the New Year in a delicious blue and black windbreaker jacket that highlight his classic chiseled facial features.

All of us at the HOTT Crew wish you a wonderful 2013! Enjoy the First Night festivities in Boston!

Brrrrr!

The first bite of Winter's deep chill hit us last night and the hottie we captured on our way to church this morning showed what a brisk day it was! Snow everywhere. Cold arctic winds racing down streets and alley ways. Hunched over in the frigid winds our hottie didn't lose sight of what's important... his white iPhone! Cleverly clad in all black (in order to maximize any heat from the sporadic sunlight) our man stood out with his white iPhone and white Apple ear buds. The perfect haircut matched the crisp winter winds that whipped through the T station.

And our HOTT Crew is signed up for the No Pants Subway Ride! Join us!

Holiday Limit

We discovered this handsome hottie who seemed completely done with the holidays. We've all been there. Suddenly you reach that point where you can't take any more. Not even if fishnet stockings come with it. Nicely buzzed hair, pea coat collar turned up high to keep out the brisk winds, and some well groomed scruff, too!

Fabulous Friday - Soul Seer

It's as if he's looking right at us. Seeing our soul. But we're using our amazing invisible iPhone case so we know he's not noticing that we're taking his pic. And such simplicity our Soul Seer exhibits. Simple forward-combed hair with just the right amount of styling, soulful hoodie that fits almost like a glove. Loose turtleneck underneath. There's something surreal about this gentleman.

Voting Hottie and Video Bonus

Remember our Election Day hotties? The ones we captured on our iPhones after they had voted? Well, we ran into one of them! Still as perky and bubbly as ever our hottie above has modified his Winter wardrobe so that it fits well with the season. We like the deep red scarf wrapped around his neck, glasses perched on top of his head, and a seemingly new black Winter coat. All in all he's still a handsome package.

Double Tuesday - Boxing Day

Happy Boxing Day! We apologise for not bringing you a double yesterday. We guess we were so excited about watching HM The Queen on TV that we overlooked the day of the week.

So here we have a double for you one day late. Hottie on the left is all business. Power Powder Blue (dark) dress shirt, silvery tie and chocolate brown suit. If he's not in a boardroom or corner office he's on the Cape at his vacation home in Truro. Hottie on the right is all about dispensing with the superfluous accoutrements. White dress shirt left open collar. Sling bag replaces a leather satchel. And fancy eyewear not needed as he wears the ever practical contacts. We think lunch with hottie on the right could be fun. And dinner with hottie on the left could be most enjoyable.

Merry Christmas!

Our entire HOTT Crew would like to wish all of you a Merry Christmas. We hope you enjoy the festive day today and that you are surrounded by family and friends. And do drive safely as the roads across the nation are quite slippery with ice and snow.

'Twas the Night Before Christmas...

...and we're so not going to compose a poem that rhymes with hottie. But if we did have someone compose a poem for us it would be without a doubt today's hottie. Perhaps he could write something witty such as Ode to A Hottie on the T.

What intrigues us most about today's stylish gent is the multitude of discrete elements that, when blended together, combine to form one lasting impression. Starting from the bottom we get a glimpse of a glimmer of gold. The gold we discover is a latch on a very handsome leather briefcase. Obviously a man of higher learning. And the black wool coat is almost an accessory to the fabulously extravagant scarf. We're beginning to think our hottie works in the field of higher education. And the glasses! Notice how the style of his frames accentuate his sensual lips and seem to make his tousled hair suddenly fall into place. Our hottie shows that wonkish can be not only fashionable but sexy, too!

4th Sunday of Advent - Spa Treatment

It's the 4th and final Sunday of Advent. Christmas is just a couple of days away. And what do we discover on the T on our way home from church? A hottie with a basket full of spa treatment goodies! We've always felt that a club car experience on the Red Line would be wonderful, but here we encounter a new idea... a day spa on the T! And this hottie's tie is cleverly color coordinated to match the spa treatment items. And he has scruff, well trimmed scruff.

Just Jack - A Sequel

We just have this thing for conjuring up names for certain types of men. Last month we featured a hottie whom we decided should go by the name of Jack (See "Just Jack" post). This month we stumbled upon this delectable hottie on the bus from Cambridge to Boston and have decided that he should go by the name Jack, too. What makes him a Jack? Perhaps it's the sculpted hair, with a #2 cut on the sides and a tapered trim on the top so that his hair can be combed forward into a seductive angle. Or is it the black wool coat cleverly accessorized with a gray and green knitted scarf that's stylishly wrapped around his neck? The hint of a smile in his eyes, and the breaking smile on his lips, could also be reasons for wanting to name him Jack. Or it could be the overall seductively enchanting aura. Who knows. But he's just Jack to us.

Fabulous Friday - Day 1

Thank heavens we're still alive! The world hasn't ended after all! Which means we get to keep posting hotties we spot on the T. Such as this hottie above. Such a masculine man for Day 1 of the new world order. Cute as a button, yet rugged his jeans. And rather stylish loafers, too.

Patriot

We love our sports. We love cycling. We love baseball, especially the Red Sox. But cycling and baseball are a bit out of season at the moment. So imagine our delight when we encountered an in-season patriot. New England Patriot to be precise. A full length camel color wool overcoat draped his athletic frame. A scarf of dark and light blue plussed the color of his coat. And he showed his patriotism by wearing a perfectly positioned New England Patriots ski cap. This hottie isn't a couch potato fan. He obviously works out and stays in excellent shape. Well done, and Go, Pats!

Double Tuesday - Native and Non-Native

It's 46F and raining heavily outside. That miserable winter weather where it's neither cold nor clear. Just a deep damp wetness. So to help brighten up your day we thought a double dose of Double Tuesday featuring natives and non-natives might do the trick!

And we expand the Boston definition of "non-native" to mean not from New England as opposed to a place "south of Meffa, north of Daht and east of Chessnut Hill".

Our top hotties our resplendent in their casual black winter wool coats. Note how top right hottie has the quintessential tousled Cantabridgian hair. Our bottom hotties are returning from our favorite Boston brewery, Sam Adams in Jamaica Plain. Also clothed in black coats, note bottom left hottie's close-cut silvery hair, and both hotties have been boosting our local economy by purchasing gift items from the Sam Adams store.

Suburban Sensation

We love encountering hotties from the burbs. Such a change in style and dress from what we're accustomed to in the city. So clean looking. So fresh. So intent on that suburban style that shies away from fashion, yet has that pleasing look. Pressed khakis. Starched blue Oxford shirt. Simple fleece jacket. Just the right outfit for working in an office tower!

3rd Sunday of Advent - The Soul of the Season

The pace has quickened as we get ever closer to Christmas. Our HOTT Crew is busy with lists, errands and shopping. Holiday parties beckon us. Dinner gatherings fill up more and more of our calendars. Will we stagger out of this Advent season more laden with bills and weariness than with joy and gladness?

It's always helpful to us at times like this when we get back to the basics. And our hottie today features a quintessential look at one form of the basics. A deliciously well-tailored pea coat (note the classic hourglass cut of the pea coat) provides both warmth and style. A simple pair of well worn jeans. An untucked Oxford shirt. Despite his lack of holiday attire he's perfectly prepared for any holiday event. Perhaps we can take a lesson from this fine gent and spend our time pulling out the basics and not busying ourselves with the unnecessary accoutrements we're told we need. And perhaps we'd not only be better off, we'd also look as stunning as today's gent!

Blue is the New "Happy"

Yet again, in less than a week, we encounter a happy hottie wearing a North Face jacket in a color other than black! Notice the vibrancy of the blue in his jacket. The stylishly upturned collar to keep the cold winds away from his smooth neck. The expertise with which he holds his Men's Health magazine on a moving train. Our apologies for the slightly out-of-focus picture, but this gent was so handsome we had to feature his pic!

Fabulous Friday - The Bibliophile

When Winter's brisk winds blow we get to stumble upon scenes such as this. Elegant lighting. An engrossing book embraced by deft fingers. Handsome chocolate brown Field Coat revealing the warming upturned collar of a polar fleece jacket (just like in the catalog!). Intent gaze. The nose. The lips. We could spend hours inhaling the presence of this hottie.

So why does the T choose a moment like this to operate the Red Line on time?!?!

How adorable! Our hottie today appears to be set for a job interview! We do wish him the very best. Finely tailored suit of brown, gorgeously polished complimentary shoes, and a crisp haircut. Double Tuesday - Groomed Goodness

We were so overjoyed yesterday with our hottie wearing a red jacket that we forgot it was Tuesday. So our Double Tuesday feature is being featured today. And what two sumptuous hotties they are! Hottie on the left sports a stylish haircut and handsomely trimmed sideburns while wearing a black jacket. Hottie on the right opts for that very sensual close-cut haircut with an amount of beard just shy of the length of his hair, making for quite the striking profile, and also is wearing a black jacket. Both seem engrossed with something happening outside the bus.

Finally!

Oh joy! Oh ecstasy! Bostonians have finally been freed from the schackles of black North Face jackets! A rainbow of color is set to burst forth aboard the trains and on the subway platforms. Smiles are set to begin appearing on commuter's faces. T riders will feel free to enjoy life and be happy. Trains may even run on time!

Needless to say we were quite excited when this stunningly handsome hottie boarded our train. The bright and deep red of his North Face jacket was a stunningly smart choice for his fair skin tone. The dark hair with highlights of elegant streaks of gray was complimented with the perfect choice of eye ware. See how well this hottie's red jacket brings forth the red of the emergency brake handle! Look how his red jacket brings out the vibrancy of the passenger stop request strip! Notice the deft fingers as they grip his book (The Grand Complication).

We assume that someone confident enough to wear this delicious red jacket on the T must be from somewhere else. Perhaps Manhattan?

And geez... we were so excited by this guy that we completely forgot it was Tuesday and a double was due. I guess we owe you ;-)

Magnificently Manicured

We discovered this magnificently manicured hottie on a most dreary day. Yet his impeccable attire, attention to detail regarding the fit and cut of his clothing, including the styling of his hair, makes him the most compellingly adorable hottie.  A gorgeous single breasted charcoal wool coat (he could easily pull off a double breasted coat) with a lightweight fabric for a scarf around his neck added such a touch of classically casual elegance.

2nd Sunday of Advent - The Feast of Men

Our HOTT Crew had a late night yesterday. First we participated in the Santa Speedo Run (aka SSR). Alas, FTH hurt his knee hours before the event and spent much of the time in a bar wearing his red Papi Colores Brazilian trunks. Pic above by Undercover RM.
After SSR the Christmas festivities continued at Dodie and Mave's Christmas Party at the Eastern Point Yacht Club on Cape Ann. Fabulous food was catered by Beach Gourmet of Gloucester and endless fine wines from Savour Wine and Cheese were on offer. Nippy and his husband then brought down the house when they joined Kathy St. George in singing Santa Baby to the entire crowd. Pic above by Undercover RM.
FT and GB discovered a new favorite wine: NXNW 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon. Luscious plum flavors on the palate reminded them of some of their favorite hottie pics from the T. Pic above by M.
FTH joined Dodie and Mave's friend Vesper (yes, a child of the 70's and named by her parents after the cocktail) in showcasing their bartending skills and offering up a wealth of exotic drinks not seen since the days of Tiki Bar TV. Pic above by M.
RM was just a bit late joining the Santa Speedo Run, raced feverishly to catch up, and not realizing the race was over continued doing laps around the Back Bay in his green speedo. Pic above by M.
And what fun we had running in the Santa Speedo Run alongside the partner of renowned blogger BosGuy! Pic above from Boston.com

We hope you all had a great weekend!

There's a Look in His Eyes

If eyes are the mirror to one's soul, then this hottie has a very deep soul. Dark penetrating eyes pierced the gloom as our MBTA train threaded the tunnels of the Back Bay. His hair still had the sweep of the damp winds that were blowing above. A single breasted wool coat warded off the chill. And warmed our commute home.

We're all preparing for our Santa Speedo Run today at 1pm on Boylston and Newbury Streets. After which our dear friend Barbara Billingsley (click on her name to learn about her) will drive us to Eastern Point on Cape Ann for Dodie and Mave's Christmas Party!

Fabulous Friday - Michelin Man

They became popular in London and New York last Winter. This Winter they've become popular in Boston. We call them the "Michelin Man Coats" because of the amazing resemblance to the Michelin Man costume. It's a coat that's a perfect fit for the man with the ideal measurements for a pea coat (click here for our post on pea coat fit). And this hottie is exactly the person for whom a Michelin Man Coat is made. Moderate height. Young in years. Slim build. Seductive scruff. An air of insouciance. Positively gorgeous.

Last year's popular color was Tangerine Tango (orange with depth). This year's color is Emerald Nation (Pantone 17-5641). Our hottie plays his cards right, however, by wearing black, an ever popular color in fashion-conservative Boston. And our hottie will be able to wear his Michelin Man Coat next Winter without appearing behind the fashion curve when a new color is in style.

Oh! Don't forget to come see us in the Santa Speedo Run tomorrow!

As we have a lot of new visitors to our blog we thought we'd take the time to re-introduce our Hotties on the T Crew, their roles and the T lines they frequent:

1. FT is our Executive in charge of production. Oh he's everywhere!
2. FTH is our Executive in charge of diversity casting and Twitter. Red line.
3. GB is our Executive layout editor for blog and Facebook. Green Line / Blue Line.
4. RM is our Executive for social events. Red Line / Orange Line.

Silver Bells

Silver bells. It's Christmas time in the city. We adore the silver and salt & pepper haired men. It's such an elegant and downright sexy look. And black goes so well with silver! And this hottie has such a nicely done haircut, too.

And we're just noticing there's a 2nd hottie in this pic! See... off to the right... with a big bag hung over his shoulder. He and our silver haired hottie would look so good together!

Had we noticed the 2nd hottie in this pic a bit earlier we would have saved it for one of our Double Tuesday features!

Wordle Wednesday

We had so much fun watching this handsome hottie on our commute in to work. And we were so inspired by the plethora of adjectives going through our head that we made a wordle (below) of the most common words from our blog over the past month. The classic and well-defined lines of his facial features, the casual and weather appropriate attire, the look of intensity and interest in his face. We kind of wanted to follow him to his final destination.

The Big Blue Coat

Our HOTT Crew is frequently thwarted by women who inconveniently block our views of handsome men. In the situation above we had a delicious hottie come stand just feet away from us. Then, without warning, a woman with a big blue coat swooped past rows of empty seats so that she could go stand next to "our" hottie. And then she turned her back to him and ignored him!

A little shifting around enabled us to get this pic of him in his green jacket, patterned buttoned down shirt and blue jeans. He's such a cute fella!

Slow Down, It's Advent

We got this hottie on our way to church this morning as we celebrate the 1st Sunday of Advent. Perhaps this gorgeous gentleman was on his way to church, too. The simple and casual elegance of a tweed jacket (so expertly fitted to his trim frame), jeans and casual shoes let him be dressed appropriately for church, or brunch, or shopping, or almost anything else. He's quite the handsome fellow!

There are multiple takes on how we are called to celebrate the season of Advent. Wikipedia has a very simple description that includes "...a time of expectant waiting and preparation for the celebration of the Nativity of Jesus at Christmas." Another take is the command from clergy for gay people to pack their schedules with choir rehearsals, choir performances, to chair meetings, to staff services and do a plethora of other last minute and critical church events so that straight people can slow down and be contemplative and reflective during Advent. We have a hunch you're familiar with the latter practice.

And how are we celebrating Advent? In our own style... we're signed up for the Santa Speedo Run next Saturday!

Tech and Tools - And a Bonus, Too!

__________________________________________
We like boys who are into tech and toys. And tools, too. Our hottie for today loves his tech toys and comes equipped with a nice big key fob on his belt (notice the bike... we love bikes!). Plus, he works out and has nicely developed pecs underneath the heather green sweater.

Where Were You When the Lights Went Out?

What good fortune! We were on on way home from work when we encountered this absolutely scrumptuous and adorable hottie when, poof, the lights went out. Literally. All over Cambridge. We were just inches away. We could feel his breath creating waves in our hair. His heartbeat seemingly pulsed in synch with ours. His chiseled features beckoned us to run the back of our hand over his jawline and full lips. The darkness created an almost irresistible urge to wrap our arms around him so as to steady ourselves in the confusion.

Isn't he stunning!

Basic Black

As we're into the cold weather the color black seems to take over our wardrobes. Some hotties add a flash of color, or more like a splash of color, to brighten their appearance. Other hotties have a subtler approach to standing out in a crowd... by using the texture of fabric to differentiate themselves from the clones. This hottie shows exactly how a slight change in fabric can make a very noticeable improvement over what the mass audience is wearing. Congratulations, perfectly put-together hottie!

Bomber Command

We're aficionados of planes, so it's a natural attraction for us when a man wears a bomber jacket. This hottie shows style by layering his bomber jacket with a lightweight fleece jacket and a striped t-shirt. And the denim cap and denim jeans help finish off the look.

While Nippy, FTH and RM had to return to Boston yesterday afternoon FT and GB remained in Gloucester for Dodie and Mave's formal dinner. The champagne flowed freely, all the men wore their tuxes (FT even wore tails!) and we had a grand time pretending we were characters from Downton Abbey. And our saga of Dodie and Mave's Thanksgiving Extravaganza continues below.

Our HOTT crew awoke early this morning to do some online Black Friday shopping (Nippy got a wireless bike helmet communications system just like FTH and GB have), and then Dodie and Mave took us on a surprise outing with Mayor Carolyn Kirk of Gloucester! And we went to the new Cape Ann Wind Farm (Turbine #1 pictured above) that is being built on a promontory overlooking the city of Gloucester. Mayor Kirk signed her name on a turbine blade that will be part of Turbine #2 (there will be 3 turbines when complete) and then invited our HOTT Crew to add our names to the list!

Afterwards Mayor Kirk joined us for a fabulous luncheon and then took us on a shopping excursion on Gloucester's Main Street. What fun!

And now we're ready for some Vespers!
