Double Tuesday - Nantucket Reds

Two classic hotties in two contrasting yet classic styles. Hottie on the right goes for the Nantucket Red shorts and Topsiders, whilst hottie on the left opts for cherry red sneakers and a slim-fit pullover polo shirt. And just look at that red mop of hair he has!
And to see how far we've come over the decades watch this New York City Policeman get down at the NYC Pride Parade. We've come a long way since Stonewall!

Big Red and the HOTT Crew's Guide to (Gay) Marriage

Our man of the day shows how well pink and black mix with coppery orange! What a delightful head of hair. We really enjoy the sheen and the styling!

Meanwhile, lots is happening with our HOTT Crew's friends in Florida. Dodie is thrilled with her new lakefront home, although a bit perturbed that her friend Lola Matisse is still hanging around, ostensibly because her "high performance sports car requires Dodie's new air conditioned garage".

And our HOTT Crew commissioned their friend Biscuit (of Biscuit and Beemer) to create a helpful guide to gay marriage for those who are concerned about the impacts that will happen from Marriage for All. Here are our HOTT Crew's tips to Marriage Equality:

If You Are a Homosexual and Are Already Married:

If you had been lucky enough to live in a state that allowed gay marriage, the federal government already recognized your marriage as a thing, and you were eligible for tax, health, and pension benefits under federal law like any other married couple. Previously, if you had moved to another state that didn't recognize gay marriage, that state didn't have to recognize your marriage. Now, your marriage is recognized everywhere, the same as anyone else's.

If You Are a Homosexual and Want to Get Married:

Where before this came down to whether or not your state had legalized it, now you are free to do so regardless of which state you live in.

If You Are a Heterosexual and Do NOT Want to Enter into a Homosexual Marriage:

You will not be required to marry a gay person. This is a common misunderstanding. This decision actually does not affect you in any way.

If You Are Currently in a Heterosexual Marriage:
This decision does not affect you in any way.

If You Are a Heterosexual Who Is Not Currently Married:

This decision does not affect you in any way.

If You Are a Heterosexual Who Hopes to Eventually Marry:
This decision does not affect you in any way.

If You Are a Member of a Church That Performs Wedding Ceremonies but That Does Not Believe in Gay Marriage:

This decision does not affect you in any way.

If You Are a Religious Official Who Performs Wedding Ceremonies but Who Thinks Gay Marriage Is Wrong:
This decision does not affect you in any way.

If You Are an Individual Who Believes Gay Marriage or Homosexuality in General Is Wrong for Religious Reasons, and Wish to Continue Expressing Those Beliefs:

This decision does not affect you in any way.

If You Are an Individual Who Believes Gay Marriage or Homosexuality in General Is Wrong for Non-Religious Reasons, and Wish to Continue Expressing Those Beliefs:

This decision does not affect you in any way.

If You Are a Heterosexual Who Fears This Decision Adversely Affects Your Marriage or the Concept of Marriage in General:

This decision does not affect you in any way.

If You Are a Heterosexual Who Fears This Decision Negatively Affects You in Some Way:

This decision does not affect you in any way.If You Are a Heterosexual Who Suffers Anger or Anxiety at the Thought of Gay Couples Getting Married as an Abstract Concept, and Believes the Only Cure Is to Legally Prevent Gay Marriage:

This decision will cause you some degree of anger or anxiety. Otherwise, this decision does not affect you in any way.

Hope this helps!

Rear Window

Just as the film Rear Window is a classic, so is our hottie today! We could stand behind our handsome man any day, every day! His khakis sure do fit well!

And pardon our lateness in posting. We've been in class all day learning how to say "marriage" without saying "gay" first!
The giddiness about our success at the Supreme Court continues, and we thought the picture above sums up how we've all been feeling.

Thank You!

We interrupt our regular programming... to celebrate the victory the United States Supreme Court gave us with their decision affirming that equal marriage is the law of the land! Our HOTT Crew was at the victory rally and were moved at United States Senator Elizabeth Warren's address to the crowd (above video).
It was a glorious day, and gorgeous sunny weather for us as we gathered with the multitudes who gave thanks for the many gay and lesbian Americans who made this possible!
Above are the plaintiffs who had the courage to stand up for justice before the United States Supreme Court. Thank you for giving us so much!
As the news broke, first there were hugs, then there were kisses. And then out came the iPhones as gay men called their moms to say, "Thank you!". A sea change in public opinion favoring equal marriage was due in large part to straight parents of gay children advocating for all of us. So to those of you who are out to your parents we say, "Thank YOU"!
So always remember... #LoveWins.

Thank you from The HOTT Crew!

Fabulous Friday - Fabulous Friday, Indeed!

Just as the checkered flag celebrates the winner of an Indy 500 race, the checkered flag shorts of our hottie signify a most historic win for same-sex marriage in the United States! Remember June 26! This is an historic moment in our life.
We're very pleased that in the United States Equal Marriage began here in Massachusetts. And our HOTT Crew was in front of the State House (in the video above!) standing witness to keep equal marriage legal here, which we accomplished in 2007.

And do notice that it was primarily communities of faith demonstrating in front of the State House to support equal marriage!

Ascension Day

Our handsome and lean gentleman ascends the longest escalator in the MBTA network, and shows us his poise and finesse in exiting a station. The blue gingham shirt is paired marvelously with the navy sling satchel. We just wish you could have seen the magnificent fit of his jeans! The length of the escalator ride gave us plenty of time to observe our hottie, and we even managed to capture the video of him below!

Double Tuesday - Near and Far

The luxurious soft touch of a multi-colored checked button-down shirt. The exquisite craftsmanship of a finely stitched satchel strap. The classically cut facial features and stylish hair cut of our handsome fellow traveler and, lo and behold, we somehow managed to capture another hottie in the background! Both of our men exhibit the youthful vigor, confident style and appreciation of technology that we find so attractive in men!

Sharing is Caring

Our handsome man is a courteous man, and knows that sharing with someone is caring for someone. Mind you, that's not going to prevent us from blurring the woman with whom he's sharing. After all, our blog is all about men! We're utterly captivated by his inquisitive grin and at-ease stance. What a gentleman!

Fabulous Friday - The Side Monty

Sometimes the view from the side is as lovely as the view from the front, and our handsome fellow today proves it with this delightful sideways display. You know, it's not easy to get khaki pants to fit that well, so we extend kudos to our hottie for that elegant sloping contour.  You know what we mean!

And in honor of National Martini Day our HOTT Crew publishes our very own recipe for a Vesper Martini! Here's the pic of our Vespers, and below it is the recipe!
In a martini shaker filled with ice cubes add:

2 ounces Ketel One Vodka
2 ounces Bombay Saphire Gin
1 ounce Lillet Blanc

Shake vigourously until bone chillingly cold.

Add 2 dashes Angostura Orange Bitters into a chilled martini or coupe glass, then strain in contents of martini shaker. Garnish with an orange twist.

Or visit Harvard Gardens and have any of the female bartenders make a "Vesper" for you. We taught them well!

The Sound of Music

Our ears perked up when we heard the familiar lilting twang of an Austrian accent, and our eyes lit up upon seeing from whom that accent was coming! It was like being in The Sound of Music and having our very own Georg von Trapp! As we saw our gentleman exit the train we dashed ahead and then pretended to take a phone call (a sleuthy way to take pics) as he approached the friends he was meeting, capturing our deliriously happy Alpine hottie for all to enjoy!

Double Tuesday - Phone Fantasy

There's a whole lot of tech trouble. Right here in River City! And it starts with, horror of horrors, a Microsoft tote bag! Needless to say we didn't feature the face of the man toting the Microsoft bag!

But moving to our handsome duo, note how these 2 man have 3 phones! And one of them appears to be a Blackberry! Our hottie on the right with an iPhone and a Blackberry may be one of those typing enthusiasts who types with one phone whilst surfing with the other.

Shock & Awe

Highlighter in hand, and gelled hair in perfect position, our handsome man studies with great interest his book, The Shock Doctrine. Clearly he's taking notes, but of what? Is he trying to understand the means with which world economies have been brought to wrack and ruin? Or is he cleverly learning the strategies and tactics with which he can take over the world?

If it's the latter, he must be a product of Harvard Business School. If it's the former, he's likely from Suffolk University.

Perhaps our Hotties on the T Book Group should include The Shock Doctrine on it's schedule of readings. And invite our handsome business-like man to join us!

Fabulous Friday - Apple of Our Eye

It takes a special man to be able to look so good on Casual Friday (we adore his very detailed dress shirt). But what really caught our eye was his.... Apple Watch! We love men with Apple Watches! And nestled in his left hand is a gorgeous iPhone 6. Our hottie is delicious all over!

Speaking of Apples, with the approach of Pride Weekend and warm weather we thought we'd share our HOTT Crew's magnificent Frozen Peach Daiquiri recipe. First, you'll need ripe fresh peaches (1 per serving). And then you'll need these:
On the left is Créme de Péche de Vigne (please, no peach schnapps!) and on the right is one of our favorite rums, Banks 7. Quality liqueurs and rums are what make our Frozen Peach Daiquiri so downright tasty! The recipe for 1 serving is:

2 ounces Banks 7 Rum
1 ounce Créme de Péche de Vigne
1/2 ounce Simple Syrup
1/2 ounce sweetened lime juice
1 cup ice
1 fresh peach, peeled and then sliced

Add all ingredients into a blender, then turn into frozen beverage using appropriate setting for 30 seconds. Voila! Frozen Peach Daiquiri. We know you'll want to make lots and lots of these for your guests!

National Seersucker Day!

Seersucker. A style and texture that celebrates the comfort of looking good. And we pay homage to National Seersucker Day not only by re-featuring a seersucker bedecked hottie from last month (http://hottiesonthet.blogspot.com/2015/05/seersucker-salad.html), but also by displaying how some of our HOTT Crew members prefer to wear their seersucker!

FT (above left) goes for a "Full-On Seersucker" replete with white buck shoes, whilst GB (above right) likes to mix his seersucker sport coat with white linen pants for a slightly more casual look.
And FTH (above, sitting) adds suave elegance by pairing argyle socks and caramel color wingtip shoes with his full-on seersucker suit. Note that all of our HOTT Crew prefer to wear a pale pink dress shirt with their seersucker and ensure that their suits or sport coats are not overshadowed by flashy ties and accessories.

Dream a Little Dream

Dream a little dream for us, handsome fellow, of warmer temps and dryer weather. Dream a little dream of that for us, won't you, please? As usual for early June in Boston we find that our weather is more like winter than summer. Damp, cold, and windy. Yet it's men such as our gentleman above who delight us nonetheless as they try to blend summer and winter weather into one memorable ensemble.

Watch This!

Yes, our HOTT Crew's FTH is the first amongst us to get an Apple Watch. And today we feature our first "Apple Watch-assisted" hottie pic!

Notice the clarity of the photo and the sharpness of the image, all working together to highlight our handsome gentleman.
