French Toast Alert - High!

Run to the store! We're getting a wicked bad stawm! Our Snow Bunny Hottie above shows how to dress when we get a foot or more of snow. Be like Snow Bunny!

And race now to get bread, milk and eggs. You'll need it tomorrow morning as you probably won't make it to work! Here's our recipe for French Toast Provencal:

French Toast a la Provence

Things you'll need:

12" cast iron skillet . The French DO NOT use teflon skillets!
5 large egs
2 cups whole milk
1 tablespoon granulated cane suger
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
5 1/2 cups lightly packed sourdough bread cubed into 3/4 inch pieces.
5 slices thickly cut bacon, sliced into 1/2 pieces
3 large Granny Smith apples
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons light brown sugar mixed with 1 tablespoon maple syrup

Preheat oven to 375F

Mix first 6 ingredients in a bowl. Then add bread cubes and stir thoroughly until mixed.

Peel, core and then slice apples into 10 sections each.

Cook bacon on medium heat, stirring occasionally until browned. Scoop out bacon and put in a bowl by itself. Pour out all but 1 tablespoon of bacon fat from skillet. Add butter (skillet still on medium heat) and then stir in light brown sugar and maple syrup.

Add sliced apples evenly on skillet and let caramelize for 10 mins.

Sprinkle half of the bacon on top of apples. Pour on bread mixture evenly across apples. Sprinkle remaining bacon on top.

Place skillet in oven for 30 mins. Remove, flip onto serving dish immediately and then let sit for 5 minutes to firm up.

Slice and serve warm with maple syrup or save for later and reheat in microwave.

Serves 6 to 8 people!

Fabulous Friday - Morsel of Goodness

We discovered this delicious morsel on our train today! Our golden-haired hottie comes replete with 3/4 length finely tailored wool coat and an earth tone scarf that's the perfect compliment to his trousers. Nothing casual about him, but then he's our Fabulous Friday hottie!

Cops & Robbers!

We apologize for the delay in posting but our HOTT Crew has been in lockdown in Cambridge due to the escaped bank robber! Such excitement (fortunately, no one has been hurt so far) on an otherwise ordinary day.

And at the Central Square station we ran into this cute furry fellow who's just a pleasure to watch!

Park Right Here

Business Casual is on display at the station as our attractive fellow awaits an outbound train. We love the casual office attire that's complimented with tan dress shoes that match his sling satchel. Bravo!

Happy New Year!

Our cute New Year's Fellow seems to be keeping in touch with someone special on New Year's eve. And doing so delightfully clad in a white North Face jacket accented with wide black piping.

Speaking of looking for someone, have you noticed Boston's NBC station moved? Our HOTT Headquarters in Harvard Square now picks up NBC over the air via antenna (and crystal clear!) on 8.1. If you're connected to cable you'll likely find NBC now on channel 10.
