Pea Coat Perfection

We admire a man with a perfect Pea Coat Ratio (see ratio explanation below)! We estimate his ratio to be 28 X 28.

Adding to the perfect Pea Coat Ratio is a meticulous hair style (not ONE hair is out of place!), well-pressed stressed jeans, nicely upturned coat collar, and leather straps on the satchel. We imagine he gets his eyebrows done when getting a haircut at the salon.

__________

Pea Coat Ratio = Waist size (using British Imperial System measurements) compared to age (years). For example: Man #1 has a 30 inch waist and is 24 years old, therefore having a Pea Coat Ratio of 30 X 24. Another example: Man #2 has a 34 inch waist and is 38 years old, therefore having a Pea Coat Ratio of 34 X 38. Because eligibility to wear a pea coat requires a Pea Coat Ratio with numbers not exceeding 32, Man #1 is "pea coat eligible" while Man #2 is not. Likewise, a man with a Pea Coat Ratio of 34 X 28 (or 28 X 34) is pea coat ineligible and should acquire a coat that is age/size appropriate.

Seeing You Seeing Me on the CT1

We were on our morning commute from Cambridge on the CT1 when we encountered this immaculately turned out hottie. We refer to him as "Morning Cup of Joe".

The red tartan scarf brings out the lush chocolate color of his wool coat. Using his beard and moustache to connect with the richness of his hair, he frames his handsome facial features and then finishes it off with the perfect glasses. What style! Reminds us of riding the Line 4 tramway in Milan... swoon!

We admire this gentleman for taking so many fashion elements and blending them together to form one lasting impression.

It's Not Easy Being Green

Sometimes you get laughed at for wearing unusual color schemes. As Kermit the Frog said, "It's not easy being green."

But look closely at this picture. Notice how his green shoes match the green streaks on the subway seats. And the bright orange on his bag brings out the same color orange on those seats.

Is his choice of colors an attempt to stand out from the crowd? Or is he simply making us aware of things already present, but not noticed by us?

"We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color." - Maya Angelou quoting an early 20th Century American poet.

Budding Bromance?

Our man from "Sailing on the Green Line" (an earlier  post of ours) is back! And he's still reading the same hardcover book! And riding standing up even when empty seats are available. Could his excellent posture be due to eschewing the unergonomic MBTA seats?

And it gets better. Another book lover (an Ed Milliband [leader of the British Labour Party] look-alike) joined him at Harvard Street!

Sailor Man is reading "1776" by David McCollough. Ed Milliband is reading "Ice in the Bedroom" by P.G. Wodehouse. Although they didn't seem to know each other, it was cute watching them steal glances at each other's books.

Sailor Man exited at Boylston. Ed Milliband exited one stop away at Park. Will they meet again?

Ode to Steve Jobs

Simple. Clean. Epitome of West Coast attire. Perfectly fitted long-sleeved black T-shirt, clean jeans, and an understated (yet business appropriate) black backpack.

And, as the Hotties on the T team members exclusively use Apple devices, the sartorial nod to our dear departed Steve Jobs is greatly appreciated (HOTT team members cross themselves at the mention of Steve Jobs name).

Don't you just want to run your hands all over that closely-shaven head!

Heavenly T Time

Just look at that hair! Though seemingly in his early 30s he had a mesmerizing streak of feathery grey above his ears. The nose a slight upturn at the tip. Straight modelesque eyebrows. So struck were we with his stunning good looks that we changed seats to get better pictures (yes, blush, we took multiple pictures).

The jacket seems a bit heavy for Boston business attire. Could he be a transplant from some other region of the country? His curious choice of outerwear doesn't prevent us from admiring his exquisite good looks, though.

Sailing on the Green Line

We like the Topsiders, khaki pants from the Gap, black Eastern Mountain Sports jacket (thank you for not wearing North Face!), tousled hair and steel grey eyes!

We assume he's originally from Connecticut, West Avon perhaps, and has experience with freshwater sailing. Hence, his uncanny ability to stand on a moving Green Line train while reading a book and not having to hold onto something.

We admire surefooted men!

The lighting for this picture was tricky. We had to activate HDR in order to minimize the glare from outside the train.
