U. C. L. A.

When we spotted this cycling hottie the tune for YMCA sprung into our heads. Of course, our entire HOTT Crew went out cycling yesterday and one of the benefits of cycling to the North Shore is having to ride the Blue Line under Boston Harbor in order to get to the ocean. Lots of cyclists have to take this route and our hottie spotting suddenly becomes incredibly fun.

Here we have a delightful cycling hottie decked out in Team UCLA cycling kit. The form-fitting cycling jersey is conveniently unzipped just enough so we can get a glimpse of his hairy chest. And his hairy chest goes so well with the well-trimmed scruff and smartly styled haircut. Alas, he got away from us in Wonderland as he zoomed off at Olympic speeds. Oh well. We love men in spandex!

And we continue our Cocktails of the British Empire series!

The Dominion of Canada

The Queen loves her Dubonnet, and she loves James Bond, too. And James Bond's new boss "M" spent many years in Canada and adores her bourbon. M always asks for a Dominion of Canada after resolving a world crisis.

2 ounces bacon-infused Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon
1/4 ounce Grade B maple syrup
2 dashes Angustora Bitters

Add ingredients to a mixing glass, then add ice. Stir until very chilled. Strain into an Old Fashioned glass and garnish with an Orange Slice (omit the Orange Slice when at MI-6 headquarters).

To infuse bourbon add 1 1/2 ounces bacon fat to 750ml bourbon in a non-reactive container. Let sit for 4 hours, then freeze for 2 hours. Skim bacon fat from bourbon and pour through cheese cloth or coffee filter into bottle.
