When we boarded the Red Line at Park for our journey home to Cambridge we found ourselves right in front of this gentleman. Then, suddenly, the lighting in the train dimmed. The mood changed. And we had an overwhelming desire to take this gentleman to the Club Car. The kind Farley Granger visited in Strangers on a Train. Wouldn't it be wonderful if the T operated Club Cars on Red Line trains during rush hours!
While sipping our martini, and drinking in this gentleman's deliciousness, we'd converse about the book he's reading, The Descendants. The peach and grey scarf keeping our rapt attention. Watching his fabulous eyebrows move animatedly as he mentioned the finer points of the book.
Then we're at our destination. Time for partings. Perhaps we'll have a Club Car experience with him again?
